BlogForArizona Invites You to Come Party with LD20 This Sunday: Fontes, Conover, Swim and Games Plus Mariachi Madness!

Folks, you can’t miss this party… and bring the kids! If you want something to do with the family (or not!) this Sunday afternoon, you can’t miss this house party for LD20 (you don’t have to live in LD20 to go!) to benefit the District and help pay for printing and distro of their voting guides and to fund their GOTV efforts this season.

It’s a cause close to my heart and home, and I hope anyone in the district, or anywhere in the Tucson region, for that matter, will attend and enjoy to party! LD20 is one of the highest percentage Hispanic districts in the state, and has among the lowest voter turnout rates. We need resources to move that needle by getting voting info in the hands of LD20 voters and GOTV by locals. You can really have a major impact up and down the ticket with your recommended $25 minumum donation!

The featured speaker are our Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes and Pima County Attorney Laura Conover, who are both barn-burner orators! They are worth coming all by themselves, but, of course, there is MORE. We also have Sen Galindo whom you may not have heard of, but as the Field Driector for Native American Dems will play an absolutely critical role in winning many of our must win races this year! There are also a few secrets that you can only find out by coming!

I addition to great speakers, we have still more delights! We have a pool, so we’ll be having a swim time and games for the kids – and the young at heart! And we have a band! Tucson High’s Mariachis, Marichi Reyos Del Sol, will be performing! It’s gonna totally blow the doors off!

Location: 

The home of Mark Stegeman and Chrystie Burr, 85 N Sierra Vista Dr.(Tucson), in the lovely Catalina Vista Neighborhood – near Elm and Campbell.

Schedule:

Doors open at 3:30 for music, provided by Tucson High School’s Mariachi Band! 

The  speakers, including Sec State Fontes and our Pima County Attorney Laura Conover will begin at 4:30. 

The party winds down at 6:00. 

Parking: 

Street parking is unrestricted, but we will try to hold the spaces directly in front of the house for handicap plates, drop-offs, and speakers. There is plenty of parking throughout the neighborhood, but if you have difficulty walking a couple blocks, please consider using a ride service, or driving with another attendee or “plus 1” companion.

We are still a few thousand short of our goal, but Thanks to the generous donations we have received so far, we will be able  to deliver LD20- specific voter information guides to 23,000+  households and to text another 40,000 individuals in LD 20 with voter registration and other voting info!
