Call to Action: Defeat Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell in 2020 and Prosecute them in 2021.

Colorado Senior Senator and 2020 Presidential Candidate Michael Bennet

One of the questions asked of the Democratic Presidential Candidates last Wednesday and Thursday was how they would deal with Grim Reaper/Enemy of the People Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell if the Republicans retained control of the Senate in 2021. No one, except Colorado Senator Michael Bennet, gave a forceful answer to that question.

McConnell and his allies need to be defeated in 2020. It is that simple.

It has been a common theme of Bennet that he has espoused on both the campaign trail and Senate floor. Bennet has repeatedly commented that McConnell has strangled the Senate by:

  • Blocking the confirmation of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.
  • Obstructing Obama’s progressive legislation and his nominees.
  • Standing in the way when President Obama wanted to reveal the Russian interference in 2016.
  • Currently blocking legislation that would improve and secure our electoral process.

These actions should resonate with the American People and it should disgust them. The people should also be disgusted with the actions of the current occupant of the White House.

Just over the last two and a half days, the person known as the KKK Candidate, Popular Vote Loser, Liar in Chief, and Individual One has demonstrated he is not worthy of the office he holds.

First, he has clowned around with the strongman/puppetmaster of Russia, saying (like the puppet he is) in a joking fashion not to meddle with our election and praising how he handles the press in Russia.

At a photo gathering of the G20 in Japan, he has shaken hands with the Saudi leader most likely responsible for the death of an American journalist and stood next to the wannabe dictator of Turkey.

He is still trying to enable the dictator and mass murderer of North Korea and offered to shake his hand at the DMZ separating the two Koreas if he accepted his invitation (by tweet of course) to meet him there.

Finally, he has bent over to the Chinese, saying United States firms can sell technology to Huawei, a company that maybe (probably) involved in cyber espionage so they would reengage in trade talks.

So much for the Art of the Deal.

The American People should not condone this behavior and all the other transgressions (like obstructing justice) over the last two and a half years.

If this was any of his predecessors, someone in mainstream Republican circles would be saying the magic words “Twenty-Fifth Amendment” and “Impeachment.”

Then again, none of his predecessors (even Bush II who was God-awful and whom we would all take now) would do what this person has done since taking the oath in 2017.

Instead, they, fearing a primary challenge, turn the other cheek, confirm reactionary judges, and dare to say “case closed.”

It is going to be fun to watch Robert Mueller on television on July 17. It will also be educational for all the people who have not read the Mueller Report. Do you think Fox will show it live?

There should be no doubt that the Republican leadership of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell is nothing but a dynamic duo of traitors that need to be voted out in November 2020 and prosecuted for treason on January 21, 2021.

Whoever is the candidate opposing McConnell in the 2020 elections deserves any campaign donations the people can spare. Defeating this Enemy of the People and his Republican colleagues running for reelection is just as important as getting rid of the Liar in Chief-KKK President.

Our Democracy and Republic will be in greater peril if both are not defeated.

Get out, stay involved, and vote in 2020.
