I’m sure everyone will enjoy the Kevin jokes today. Judging from the multi-day clown show provided by the GOP this past week, the cartoonists will have a steady flow of material for the next two years.
I think it’s worth noting that the circumstances that enabled the GOP extremists in the House to bring Kevin to his knees are exactly the same as those that enabled Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin to deprive the Democrats of a once in a generation opportunity to legislate long overdue progressive policies. Narrow majorities and political division along party lines have created opportunities for the absolute worst people who have found their way into Congress.
Perhaps the clown show is uniquely Republican (although Sinema was often dressed for one), but the damage done to the American people is roughly the same when their elected representatives fail them.

Another brilliant cartoon Sunday. Great cartoonist didn’t all retire like Fitz. Four tied for the best. Human Pretzel, Congress Is Seated, Trying to Plug in a Speaker and a blast from the past Edward R. Murrow.
