Donate to the John C. Scott GoFundMe Campaign

Broadcaster, John C. Scott, lost his beloved wife, Amy Hameroff Ulm, on November 23. She died of a long battle with cancer. He needs funds for her final expenses and to pay off some of the medical debt he incurred as a result. She was 70 and required expensive prescriptions that were not covered by insurance.

To that end, Jim Hannley, a Democratic activist and precinct committeeman in precinct #75, has created a GoFundMe campaign and you can donate to support John at https://gf.me/u/y9yvrh

The goal is to raise $10,000 and as of this writing, friends, colleagues, and supporters have donated $3,125.

John C. Scott’s voice first hit Tucson’s airwaves nearly 50 years ago. He is the host of the John C. Scott Political Forum on 1030 KVOI AM radio, and he’s the only progressive voice at the station. You can hear his show from 3:00pm-4:00pm on Saturdays.

The John C. Scott Show is one of Tucson’s most respected and admired political voices. John has aired more local political talk shows than all other current local talkers combined. John was awarded the Golden Mic Award in 2013.

John met Amy at radio station KTUC, where she sold public service announcements and John was starting his radio career. She and John were married for 25 years and traveled the world together. An American University grad, Amy was a “dyed in the wool liberal,” John said in an interview. She was born in Cleveland in 1949, and she and John have two children, Matt and Mark.
