This evening beginning at 6pm, Liberals will be Drinking at the Shanty. The Shanty is located in Downtown Tucson at 9th Street and 4th Avenue at the underpass. There will be free sandwiches tonight courtesy of the Shanty.
Tonight our guests are Democratic Councilman Steve Leal and Democratic candidate for Congress in District 2, Dr. Chat Chaterjee, who is coming to Tucson this evening to spend time with us. Also tonight, my conservative brother Steve from Minnesota will be attending. He hates Bush, but he’s still pretty conservative. It should be an interesting batch of conversations tonight.
Next week, we will be attending Al Gore’s movie "An Incovenient Truth" and repairing to the Shanty afterwards for drinks. The exact timing and information on how to buy advance tickets and to rendevous at the theater will be on the Drinking Liberally listserve this weekend. So, if you haven’t signed up for Tucson’s listserve, you should do so now.
