“Please join us for a lively discussion and Q&A with Jackie McGuire about her campaign for Marana Town Council and the urgent need for strong local oversight of our fiscal and environmental resources on Monday, July 20th, at 12:00 p.m. Arizona time via Zoom.

You Must Register in Advance for This Event:

Jackie McGuire is an entrepreneur, data scientist, former financial advisor, and mother of three, running for Marana Town Council to restore transparent, ethical, and financially responsible governance. Her campaign is centered on the conviction that local politics are where real change happens.

Unlike politicians who only take a stance, Jackie has a proven record of taking action. She was one of the Marana residents who led a referendum effort and collected nearly 3,000 signatures to put the controversial Data Center project on the ballot. When the Town threw those petitions out on a technicality, Jackie was the lead plaintiff in the recent lawsuit to force accountability and fight for residents’ right to vote on important issues.

Her platform is built on issues that unite Marana’s diverse community: fighting corruption and “backroom dealing,” investing in local small businesses for responsible economic growth, increasing access to education and training programs, and protecting individual liberty by opposing unchecked government surveillance. She is deeply committed to ensuring resident voices are heard, establishing citizen committees to tap into local expertise, fixing Marana’s roads and infrastructure, and securing Marana’s future by keeping predatory development out. Jackie McGuire is running to make sure the Town Council works for all residents, not just special interests.”

Carolyn’s note: Jackie was scheduled at DGT for July 13, so It feels like Groundhog Day for me posting the same speaker twice in 2 weeks. Yet on B4Az, a video of her talk is already online which explains that only a few DGT board members could see her video, not the membership which explains this double presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ex99yZ__yNw&t=85s
