Flake endorses Shadegg for House majority leader

Flake endorses fellow Arizonan for House majority leader. I don’t know how much weight this public show of support will throw, but it is certainly, to my mind a neccessary precondition to a Shadegg win. Flake is a nationally recognized spokeman for limited government and reduction of government spending and a vocal critic of ‘earmarking’. Flake’s support is a mark of confidence both from a fellow member of Shadegg’s delegation and an ideological purist.

This is not to say that Flake’s support in any way ensures Shadegg’s success, but it lends new momentum to a reform movement within the GOP led by Shadegg with the Arizona Delegation playing a key role.
