Freedom’s Martyrs

In MAGA-Fox world, a feculent world as putrid and toxic as Goebbels’ Nazi propaganda mills, the vile cold blooded murder in Minneapolis of an American mother of three, Rene Good, by one of Trumps’ ICE-Gestapo agents is being swaddled in lies to the nattering MAGA zombies as an “act of self-defense” against a “domestic terrorist” by goons who were in Herr Trump’s words “disrespected”. 

She is a Daughter of Liberty, a martyr to be memorialized, remembered and invoked by every patriot across this wounded land.

Are you among the millions of Trump critics and protestors who could one day be described as a “domestic terrorist” or an “outside agitator”? 

Have you disrespected your President or his masked goons lately?

Rene was shot in the face a second and a third time by ICE agent and Iraq war vet Jonathan Ross, described by friends as a “hardcore conservative Christian and MAGA supporter”, an ideal recruit for Herr Trump’s goosestepping tools. When Fascism comes it will be waving a flag and carrying a cross. 

Like the wholesome appearing Ross family, white as Stephen Miller’s forehead, hiny as Kristi Noem’s plastic cheeks.

Trump, Vance, Noem and all the American Neo-Nazi leadership are falling into line, smirking as they smear our dead mother as an “enemy of the state”, without fear of any retribution for their crime or their lies. Described by an ICE agent (Was it Ross?) as a “Fucking Bitch” seconds after she was killed, Good cannot respond to such assaults, nor the assault on justice Herr Trump and his Reich will wage to deny her justice in this demented world, where the streets are ruled by Trump’s Gestapo.

Beyond Nazism we are entering a new period of totalitarianism escorted willingly by a complicit, craven, cowardly press, a time when our very thoughts are to be shaped by the whims of MAGA’s demented diaper soiling dictator, a man described by former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson as a “fucking moron”, a lunatic King who builds Hitlerian monuments to himself, plasters his name and image around our former democracy like Josef Stalin, who longs for “generals like Hitler had” and lusts to pick your pockets to unleash blitzkriegs on multiple fronts to occupy and loot other lands. 

When Charlie Kirk was killed we were ordered to mourn his passing or else. One could smell our Republic becoming a North Korean fever dream where emotional obedience to our “Great Orange Leader” is mandatory.

The first great MAGA martyr was ordained. MAGA tried to glorify Ashli Babbitt, the insurrectionist killed during the mob assault on our sacred capitol but that kindling didn’t unleash the fire the way Kirk’s murder did. 

This all calls to mind a trek I cite often these days. When visiting Munich in 2018 I visited the Odeonsplatz in the center of the great city. I was looking for a haunted site adjacent to the great stage. I found it.

In 1923 Hitler launched a failed insurrection that began at a Beer Hall and became known as the Beer Hall Putsch. Many of his idiots were killed and he was jailed. As a side note he used his downtime to write “Mein Kampf” a book with which Trump has been said to be familiar, but I doubt it. 

It has no pictures.

According to scholars, “After the Nazis rose to power, a monument was erected at the Feldherrnhalle in Odeonsplatz to commemorate the 16 Nazis killed during the 1923 coup attempt known as the Beer Hall Putsch.” Hitler made heroes of his failed street thug insurrectionists, turning the dead into “martyrs”, propaganda tools, posting an SS guard at the site and demanding citizens give the Nazi salute to his dead anti-Semitic treasonous pets.

How many of you hope to get by in the coming dark times by shirking your civic duties and moving on about your days as if nothing has changed in what used to be your democratic republic? 

In Munich, behind the one-time site of the Nazi Feldherrnhalle I came upon a famous small alley nearby that had been known, at the time, as the “Drückebergergasserl”. 

The shirkers’ alley. 

A passageway which citizens of Munich used to take to avoid walking past the Nazi monument. Duck that way and you won’t have to give a half-hearted Nazi salute to please the stern SS guard guarding the memory of Adolph’s dead dolts.

The Mayor of Minneapolis and many other civic leaders around our nation have encourage protestors to not take the bait.

The day will come when an ICE agent stubs his toe and Herr Bone Spurs will make a martyr of him, and on that day every MAGA Christian will weep and vow blood vengeance against all the “domestic terrorists” taking to the streets. When agents of the state are free to kill citizens like Rene Good, I promise you we are entering a time when citizens branded “domestic terrorists” will be spirited away. If not, why are large population concentration camps being built around our land faster than you can click your heels together and say “Sieg Heil, Herr Trump”?

How many Rene Goods must die? How many of us are cowards at this moment in our own history? How many do we know who are desperately looking for detours to avoid taking a public stand against the rising tide of Orwellian madness? 

How many such feckless failures serve in Congress?

Pundits who lament “we need a healthy Republican Party for the sake of balance” are curiously unaware the Republican Party has been long dead, replaced by a cult of zombies who wander cable news and the internet hungering after reasoning brains to devour. Disarm the MAGA zombies and deliver them back into our alleys and sewers. For the sake of our democracy. And that is a calling we cannot shirk.
