George Conway should focus his attention more on the wicked witch of the White House

I fail to understand why the media gives so much attention to George Conway III, the husband of the wicked witch of the White House, Kellyanne Conway.  Every criticism George levles at Donald Trump goes double for his batshit crazy wife, Kellyanne, Trump’s enabler. This is truly Washington’s oddest couple.

The Washington Post published an op-ed today by George Conway III. Trump is a racist president. Conway defends the four Democratic women of color who have been targeted by Donald Trump and his campaign:

But Sunday left no doubt. Naivete, resentment and outright racism, roiled in a toxic mix, have given us a racist president. Trump could have used vile slurs, including the vilest of them all, and the intent and effect would have been no less clear. Telling four non-white members of Congress — American citizens all, three natural-born — to “go back” to the “countries” they “originally came from”? That’s racist to the core. It doesn’t matter what these representatives are for or against — and there’s plenty to criticize them for — it’s beyond the bounds of human decency. For anyone, not least a president.

What’s just as bad, though, is the virtual silence from Republican leaders and officeholders. They’re silent not because they agree with Trump. Surely they know better. They’re silent because, knowing that he’s incorrigible, they have inured themselves to his wild statements; because, knowing that he’s a fool, they don’t really take his words seriously and pretend that others shouldn’t, either; because, knowing how damaging Trump’s words are, the Republicans don’t want to give succor to their political enemies; because, knowing how vindictive, stubborn and obtusely self-destructive Trump is, they fear his wrath.

But none of that is good enough. Trump is not some random, embittered person in a parking lot — he’s the president of the United States. By virtue of his office, he speaks for the country. What’s at stake now is more important than judges or tax cuts or regulations or any policy issue of the day. What’s at stake are the nation’s ideals, its very soul.

Well, George, I suggest you sit down your batshit crazy wife and have this discussion with her. Addressing racism begins at home.

Cue the wicked witch of the White House today: Kellyanne Conway blows up on Fox: ‘We’re sick and tired of many people in this country’ who support Democrats:

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday railed against the four Democratic lawmakers who were the subject of racist attacks from President Donald Trump during a testy interview on Fox News.

When asked by host Bill Hemmer whether it was wise for the president to launch attacks against the lawmakers at a time when he could be touting a positive economic message, Conway replied that he should be talking about them because “we’re sick and tired of many people in this country” who are being represented by Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (R-MI).

“They represent a dark underbelly in this country of people who are not respecting our troops, are not giving them the resources and respect that they deserve,” she fumed. “We’re tired of people not kneeling for the flag out of disrespect. We’re tired of some of these women palling around with terrorists!”

So Kellyanne is sick and tired of the constituency of these four Democratic women in Congress, who collectively represent more than 2.8 million voters (Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (N.Y.-14) 712,053, Rep.Ilhan Omar, Minn.-5) 677,196, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (Mass.-7th) 733,814, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, (Mich-13) 705,974), which is more than the population of some 16 states. Individually, each of them represent more constituents than the state populations of Wyoming, Vermont, North Dakota, and for two of them, Alaska.

The “dark underbelly” comment can fairly be interpreted as racist dog-whistle, i.e., “darkies.” There is no basis in fact for Conway’s claim that these women “are not respecting our troops.” Recent votes in Congress to limit Trump’s ability to unilaterally go to war with Iran, and to impose sanctions on Saudi Arabia for murdering a Washington Post reporter, is not disrespecting our troops. It is constraining Trump.

The flag kneeling thing is Trump’s favorite racist trope about Colin Kaepernick taking a knee in silent protest over unarmed black men being killed by police officers. Because in Trump world, “black lives do not matter.” The wicked witch renewed this racist trope on the very same day that Trump’s “Injustice” Department decided not to charge the police officer who killed Eric Garner over a pack of cigarettes. ‘Today we can’t breathe.’ DOJ will not bring civil rights charge against NYPD officer in death of Eric Garner.

The “palling around with terrorists” comment is an echo of Sarah Palin making the same stupid comment about Barack Obama. This is the Republican Party’s Islamophobia on display, clearly aimed at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) because she is a Muslim woman. Conway is not so subtly insinuating that because she is a Muslim, she is also a terrorist. This has long been the messaging at FOX News aka Trump TV.

Kellyanne Conway went on to bitterly complain that Democrats are naming Trump in their resolution denouncing his racist attacks on their colleagues, while not doing the same for Ilhan Omar after she ‘unequivocally apologized’ for using anti-Semitic tropes while discussing America’s relationship with Israel.

Actually, Democrats did adopt a resolution back in March. House passes resolution condemning anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim discrimination. Kellyanne Conway lies as much as her racist boss.

You know what I am “sick and tired of”? Kellyanne Conway. Go the hell away, lady, never to be seen or heard from again.

George Conway should focus his attention more on his batshit crazy wife, and less time tweeting about Donald Trump. The wicked witch of the White House only enables and encourages Trump’s racist behavior. Actually do something about it, George.

  1. Never forget the brave first responders of The Bowling Green Massacre.

Conway is a religious nut job who’s in the Lying for Jesus crowd, and her husband is in on the scam with her.

    They’re just playing both sides.

He can’t write up an editorial about Trump being a racist and then live in the same house as Kelly Ann. She went full Nazi this week along with Trump, including going after a Jewish reporter.

I’m glad the press is starting to call racism “racism” instead of “racially charged”, etc., but we need to start getting these liars fired from the government payroll.

Conway, Sanders, Spicer, every member of the cabinet, getting paid to lie to me, not spin, outright lie, and being paid with my tax dollars, this has to end.
