“I was kidnapped,” said Karla Toledo when vicious ICE goons in black masks illegally broke down her front door. ICE had no search warrant, and Karla had no criminal record, yet she was thrown into the deadly Eloy Detention Prison for four days.
Why? She was a DACA recipient who grew up in the U.S. But the federal Mass Deportation Machine declared on April 24 that it is now targeting 500,000 innocent and legal DACA recipients.
The Mass Deportation Machine has three parts: ICE gangsters, anti-Immigration “Courts” and the Department of Justice. Righteous Americans can break the machine by putting a lawyer in immigration “court” hearings — who save 62% of immigrants from being deported.
Pima County Justice for All will put a defense lawyer in Immigration Court so that valuable community members like Karla don’t get deported. You can sign and circulate their petition to break the machine and make it happen.

Immigration Kangaroo Court
Immigration courts are not actual, independent courts under the judicial branch, but rather arbitrary administrative agencies housed within the Trump Department of Justice. Their decisions can be overturned or withdrawn by the Attorney General, and the “courts” are subject to political influence or arbitrary policy changes.
The DOJ Executive Office for Immigration Review ruled that DACA, which protects eligible young undocumented immigrants from deportation, is no longer a defense to deportation. Without a lawyer, only 3% of migrants in Immigration Court are allowed to stay in the country.
Toledo was probably targeted because she is a community organizer and an Instagram social media influencer. She works as the Director of Student Recruitment for Academy On-Demand, a trade school for healthcare careers.

“Her detention is an attack on our community and a violation of her status as a DACA recipient. Karla is a family member, friend, neighbor and an integral part of the Tucson community. No one should be ripped away from their families and home,” wrote Scholarships A-Z.
Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva (D-CD3) said, “I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma of being ripped from your home by masked agents. ICE has still failed to answer why agents entered her home without a warrant signed by a judge, or why they attempted to smear her name with unsubstantiated allegations about what occurred. The conduct of the agents during the arrest, along with ICE’s handling of the incident afterward, raises deeply troubling questions about an agency that continues to act as if it is above the law. The agents involved must be investigated and held to account.”

DACA, Roe, Birth Control, Gay Marriage, Climate Change, wars in the Middle East, voter supression (aka racism), it’s the same-shit-different-day over and over.
DACA should have been resolved years ago. There was even Republican support once upon a time.
If Dems ever get into office again they need to fix this shit and so many other things on day one and prove to Americans that they’re not completeley useless.
In 2026 I expect this from the GOP, but this is just one of many reasons why people don’t vote FOR dems, they vote AGAINST Republicans.
NEXT TIME AROUND FIX ALL THIS SHIT, AND MAYBE SHOW A LITTLE FIGHT IN THE MEANTIME.
People may not be inspired to vote for FDR Dems as all they may have been taught about him was getting us out of the Great Depression and winning WWII without going into detail about how he and the Democrats accomplished those.
