Harris For President Hauls In $81 Million in the First 24 Hours of Her Campaign and Piles Up the Endorsements

From Harris HQ

It has been a very lucrative first 24 hours for the new Harris for President Campaign.

According to a Harris for President Press Release, the campaign raised a whopping $81 million.

In the press release, the Campaign stressed the following points.

  • Over 888,000 grassroots donors made donations in the past 24 hours, 60% of whom made their first contribution of the 2024 cycle.
  • Team Harris’ 24-hour raise is the highest 24-hour raise of any candidate in history.
  • In the last 24 hours, Team Harris has added 43,000 new recurring donors, with over half of these recurring donors signing up for weekly donations.
  • A call on Sunday evening hosted by Win with Black Women raised approximately $1.6 million in grassroots contributions alone.
  • And Harris for President’s official social media, @KamalaHQdoubled its following overnight.

Harris for President spokesperson Kevin Munoz commented:

“The historic outpouring of support for Vice President Harris represents exactly the kind of  grassroots energy and enthusiasm that wins elections. Already, we are seeing a broad and diverse coalition come together to support our critical work of talking to the voters that will decide this election. There is a groundswell behind Kamala Harris, and Donald Trump is terrified because he knows his divisive, unpopular agenda can’t stand up to the Vice President’s record and vision for the American people.”

The Vice President and her team have also secured the endorsements of the great majority of the Congressional Democrats, Governors, and Mayors.

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs wrote in her endorsement:

“As the last few weeks have made clear, Americans are looking for a new generation of leadership that will move past the divisiveness and unite us around our shared American values. I believe that leader is Vice President Harris, and I look forward to working with her to lower costs for Arizonans, restore reproductive freedom, and defend our democratic rights.”

Below are some other Arizona Examples of the endorsements the Vice President has received via a Harris for President Press Release

Senator Mark Kelly: I couldn’t be more confident that Vice President @KamalaHarris is the right person to defeat Donald Trump and lead our country into the future. She has my support for the nomination, and Gabby and I will do everything we can to elect her President of the United States.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes: I stand ready to help move America forward and am honored to support Vice President @KamalaHarris as our Presidential nominee.

Arizona Corporation Commissioner Anna TovarLet’s make history and elect the first woman president this November. Let’s do this. I’m with @KamalaHarris.

Congressman Ruben Gallego: If Kari Lake is in the Senate and Donald Trump is in the White House, abortion will be banned and other rights taken away from Arizonans. As Vice President, @KamalaHarris has been crossing the country and visiting states like ours to defend the right for women to make their own health care decisions. I look forward to fighting with her to defend those rights as she works to earn the nomination.

Congressman Raul GrijalvaMoving forward, we cannot allow Trump and JD Vance to take the White House and for Republicans to reshape this nation through their Project 2025 – a right-wing manifesto that strips rights away from women, eliminates checks and balances, and lays the foundation for Trump to enact a radically undemocratic agenda. We must hold the Republican party accountable at the ballot box for enabling Trump’s dangerous, despotic behavior and stop their extremist takeover of our government.

It’s now time for Democrats to quickly coalesce around Kamala Harris, as President Biden has called on us to do, and form a ticket that will protect our democracy by helping Democrats win up and down the ballot this November

Congressman Greg StantonI’m proud to endorse @KamalaHarris. The contrast in this race could not be clearer—a prosecutor versus a convicted felon. A champion for American’s fundamental freedoms versus a man who has tried to rip them away at every turn.”

It is time to elect the successful Vice President and first Black-Asian Woman President.

It is time to beat the convicted felon, twice impeached, sexual assaulter, and failed former President.
