In Recent Media Appearances, Mayes and Grodsky Call Out MAGA Republican Absurdity and Insanity

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes and Matters of State Strategies Vice President and Democratic Consultant Matt Grodsky took to both social media and political talk shows to highlight MAGA Republican absurdity and insanity in both their policy agendas and presentation outreach.

Mayes, fresh off holding an event earlier in the week highlighting the successful results of Operation Double Down, a law enforcement operation that saw the confiscation of drugs, firearms, vehicles, and cash, Mayes appeared on MeidasTouch and blasted both Elon Musk for his outlandish showing off with a Chainsaw at CPAC and how he and his DOGE team have brought misery to people’s lives, saying:

“Let’s talk about that visual of Elon Musk with the ridiculous chainsaw. I don’t think he’s ever actually used a chainsaw in his life. I don’t know what that was—some lame attempt to make himself look manly.

But what he’s doing is devastating people’s lives. Here in Arizona, we now have firefighters being laid off—Hotshot crews being laid off right before wildfire season. The federal funding freeze for a moment, right before we got the TRO against it, meant we couldn’t continue efforts to go after the Mexican drug cartels and fight the fentanyl crisis. It’s insane. Our rural hospitals were put at risk, our Head Start programs, Meals on Wheels—and yet there goes Elon Musk, bragging about it with his chainsaw at CPAC or wherever he was. It’s just nonsense.”

In case readers missed it. MeidasTouch is now getting better ratings than Joe Rogan.

Think Donald Trump will appear on MeidasTouch.

The Second Coming will probably come first.

Meanwhile, Matt Grodsky appeared on this week’s Politics Unplugged hosted by Dennis Welch and conveyed the absurdity of MAGA Republican policymakers devoting committee time to renaming AZ Highway 260, the Donald Trump Highway.

A pet dream of Wendy ‘COVID Vaccines are a sign of the beast’ Rogers, Grodsky blasted the time to this MAGA “sucking up” (translation: kissing ass) to Trump when these dedications and naming of highways, mountains, damns, or public buildings for someone who is alive and still in office, is a waste of attention on “symbolism,” joking that “maybe the highway will come with a bootlicking overpass” and said that Democrats should “stress that this is by and large not what voters sent people to the legislature to do. They’re worried about real issues.”

When Welch brought up a MAGA Republican measure, sponsored by election denying Jake ‘Voter Troll Farm’ Hoffman calling for bounty hunter payouts for each illegal immigrant found, Grodsky reminded the viewers that Governor Katie Hobbs has a good record on border enforcement (including $100 million toward border security,) confronted President Biden, during his term when she felt he was not doing enough, and joked that they should ask Hoffman, who pled legislative immunity for getting a speeding ticket earlier this year if he would “Wants a bounty hunter bill to stop people that are speeding.”

  1. While I’m busy supporting our Attorney General … a number of us CD6 are very interested in getting Rep Ciscomani to schedule a townhall in Tucson. To that end, is it possible that you can write an article or something that might encourage Re Ciscomani to schedule the townhall.

    • Never going to happen. Mr. Tough Guy is scared to death to answer questions in an open townhall format. MAGA supporters only like friendly, hand picked venues with softball questions. Maybe Sean Hannity can host one.
