In Two New Ads, Kris Mayes Highlights Abe Hamadeh’s 2020 Big Lie and Anti Reproductive Freedom Stances

For those who did not watch Arizona Attorney General Democratic Nominee Kris Mayes crush her Trump Republican Opponent Abe Hamadeh at last week’s Clean Elections Debate, never fear.

Readers can click below and watch it here.

Readers can also see the Mayes campaign effectively highlight two points the nominee skillfully made at the debate (Hamadeh’s buy into the Big Lie of the 2020 Presidential Election and his approval of putting people in jail if they perform abortions if the woman is a victim of rape or incest) in two new social media ads.

The 2020 Big Lie ad shows Hamadeh at several Trump Republican events claiming that the election was stolen, the justice system (then run by Republicans) and vote by mail is corrupt, and people should be punished for their part in denying Donald Trump reelection.

The second ad, released last week (September 29, 2022,) shows Mr. Hamadeh’s willingness to subscribe to an 1864/1901 pre-statehood law to ban virtually all abortions, including cases when the woman is a victim of rape or incest and to throw people in jail for violating the statute.

It should also be noted, as Ms. Mayes and Katie Hobbs have noted, this ban also has the terrifying effect of denying young women life-saving medication. Please read the below post about a 14-year-old girl in Tucson being denied medication for two days because it could be used to end pregnancies.

What happens the next time when it may take longer than two days to get an essential medication, or worse, the prescription is not refilled because there is widespread fear of incarceration if the medicine is given.

It is obvious Abe Hamadeh does not care about that. He said as much in the debate when he said Attorney Generals are duty bound to enforce the law, not question it or bend it to suit their personal views.

There are a lot of women that will needlessly suffer if Abe Hamadeh becomes Attorney General.

That is why it is obvious to elect Kris Mayes on November 8, 2022.

She will do everything in her power to protect a woman’s state constitutional right to privacy and reproductive freedom.

She will not prosecute women, physicians, and pharmacists for providing sound reproductive health care and advice.

She, unlike Abe Hamadeh, will not make Arizona the next Gilead or modern version of It Can’t Happen Here, 1984, or Brave New World.

November 8, 2022, is in 37 days.

Remember to turn out and vote.
