Former Klan leader David Duke endorsing him twice should have been a clue to swing voters.
So should his continuing stance, despite evidence to the contrary, that the Central Park Five were guilty.
Or his infamous quote, “there were good people on both sides” at Charlottesville, Virginia when Anti Semitic NeoNazis tangled with people protesting their grotesque views.
Or his attempts in his first Administration to whitewash American History with, in words Stalin and Mussolini would have embraced, more “patriotic” themes.
So it should be no surprise that since returning to power in January, Know Nothing and American Duce Wannabe Donald Trump and his surrogates like Male Chauvinist Pig and fellow White Nationalist Pete Hegseth have repeatedly taken Orwellian and Totalitarian attempts to reframe what history books people should read and what citizens should be taught.
Last month, Administration pressure apparently caused the Smithsonian Museum to remove an exhibit narrative that reminded viewers that Donald Trump was impeached twice in his first term.
Now, the Know Nothing Government is continuing its war on History and Knowledge with a full assault on national museum content.
Mr. Trump posted on his “Truth” Social network:

Of course, everyone with a brain is latching on with Mr. ‘I was endorsed twice by David Duke” lament that people are bent out of shape with “how bad slavery was.”
Here are some examples of the reaction to Dear Leaders latest rant against history.
Democratic consultant Donna Brazille posted:
“Slavery was one of America’s original sins. It’s hard to erase the inhumane treatment of human beings. As a descendant, we know our ancestors bravely fought for America’s freedom — from the civil war to the present. We shall never surrender to a wannabe ally of Putin.”
Former Conservative Republican Joe Walsh posted:
Democratic Consultant Rachel Bitecofer wrote:
“This is fascism. This is exactly what the Nazis did in Germany. Museums about their fascist future.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom offered:
“Trump’s GOP has already called slavery a “workforce development program” — now he is trying to ERASE slavery from U.S. history.”
Former Republican Party Chairman and MSNBC Host Michael Steele conveyed:
“Ok @realDonaldTrump. Why don’t you tell us about the good side of slavery? You clearly have thoughts.”
After the last election, I wrote that the results proved that many voters who had not learned from the history of Trump’s disastrous first term repeated it by returning him despite the horrible results.
Polls showed that the less informed the voter was, the more likely they were to support the Trump/Vance ticket despite their Project 2025 Anti People agenda.
It is important that states require more history education for their children.
It is vital that the American People fight these attempts by Trump and his White Nationalist Project 2025 apostates to twist history’s lessons, erase events from national memory, and further dumb down the American People.
Otherwise, the Orwellian forces of totalitarian government and agents against knowledge and progress will prevail and the American Ideal will die.
