MAGA Were Russian Dupes All Along

It has now been revealed in an indictment that Tenet Media was a front for Russian propaganda. Can’t say I’m at all surprised. Not only were those guys useful idiots for Russia, though it now appears they were well-paid useful idiots. I guess being well-paid makes them useful whores instead of idiots, or maybe useful idiotic whores?

Anyhow, the main reason I am commenting on this scandal is to point out that a lot of MAGA public figures, media, and elected officials are acting the exact same way as the Tenet idiotic whores: filing articles of impeachment against VP Harris for… something, wasting the people’s time in Congress investigating their own (Russia’s actually…) conspiracy theories about the Biden/Harris administration, railing against the cost supporting Ukraine and spewing nonsense about how that money would be better spent at home (even though 80% of the aid is just military equipment we had warehoused and would have to otherwise pay to dispose of – what, are we supposed to send a howitzer or a bunch of old TOW missiles to Ohio farmers to sell at their next county fair to raise money?), and broadcasting and writing Russian-derived disinformation and propaganda for their gullible supporters. They are all acting like useful idiotic whores for Russian propaganda aimed at exacerbating divisions in America, undermining American’s trust in democracy and our own institutions, and questioning the nature of truth itself (all of which are classic Russian propaganda techniques).

One has to question, therefore, whether there might be financial incentives for MAGA activists and politicians being provided secretly by Russia? Is the MAGA movement itself, and Donald Trump himself, best thought of as a very successful Russian influence and propaganda operation? Uh, duh. The answer is obviously, “Yes, and, wow, has it ever been a very successful, cheap, and devastating attack.”

MAGA is and always has been the opposite of America First; it is always been America Last – Russia First. The MAGAts all admire the Russian authoritarian system, Putin himself, and the macho, sexist, bigoted, and xenophobic culture that Putin and his cronies have encouraged in order to cement their fascist power over the great Russian people. All MAGA and Trump ever do is tear down, hate, and disparage our multicultural, tolerant, and democratic culture, which has made us the greatest nation on Earth. They constantly claim America is broken somehow, and if we were only more like Russia and other authoritarian nations everything would be better.

Well, as VP Harris says, “We are NOT going back!” Our system of government, civil rights, and our culture of inclusion, tolerance, meritocracy, and checks and balances is hard won over centuries of struggle – we aren’t going to give up on it for a system of authoritarian government, corrupt crony capitalism, oligarchic economics, and legally sanctioned hate, bigotry, and persecution.

OK, now that I’ve vented a bit about the corruption of the Grand Old Party and the idea of conservatism by useful idiotic whores, I would like to bring the focus back to this blog. We have NEVER taken a single dollar we haven’t earned from your kind attention and support. We run AdSense ads that help defray our costs, but we mainly rely on YOU, our readers, and your financial gifts to keep our heads above water. We DON’T make millions, thousands, or even hundreds or tens of dollars from mysterious left-wing benefactors. We are only answerable to YOU.
