Miss Bidenomics Yet? Because Trumpnomics Suck!

This editorial cartoon from the Atlanta Journal’s Mike Luckovich says it all.

With the release of the August jobs report which showed labor contraction in June, a rising unemployment rate, and only 22,000 jobs created in August, there is more proof that the ship known as the American Economy is sinking thanks to the Gilded Age policies of Donald Trump and his Tariff Loving Screw the Poor and Middle Class Project 2025 team.

To all those people who, despite the track record from Trump One and actually believed his lies that he would lower prices and not touch programs that bail them out, are you tired of the winning yet.

It is important to also remember the last President to record job losses in any of his two terms was Donald Trump.

Joe Biden did not have any months where job losses were posted. In fact, Bidenomics helped take the country out of the Coronavirus Recession, invested in Infrastructure, clean energy projects, and American Manufacturing, and created record levels of employment.

From It’s your Future.

What is not to miss about that?

Need more proof that Trumpnomics sucks. Just listen to Trump voters who feel ignored and deceived now that their purchasing power, thanks to Trump tariffs and ICE policies, has been diminished or they may have to declare bankruptcy because their farm is about to collapse.

Arizona’s Congressional Delegation did not have kind words on the August Jobs Report.

On Trump’s economic policies, Arizona Representative Greg Stanton posted:

“For the first time since 2020 (Trump’s first term,) the U.S. economy lost jobs. With costs climbing and unemployment rising, America’s middle class is being crushed by Trump’s disastrous tariff policies.”

Senator Mark Kelly wrote:

“August jobs data shows what we already knew: In Trump’s economy, unemployment is up and job growth is down. Working families everywhere are hurting, and instead of making things easier, Trump’s tariffs are raising costs and killing jobs.”

Senator Ruben Gallego issued two posts.

The first on the loss of 78,000 manufacturing jobs since the Stable Genius returned to power was simply “Blue Collar Bust.”

This is what happens when you let a Know Nothing Climate Science Denier who disdains solar and wind projects and cancels them becomes President.

Later, Gallego wrote:

“Rising unemployment. Rising grocery prices. Trump’s America is hammering families.”

Finally, do not forget the Reverse Robin Hood Big Billionaire Bill which robs from the poor and middle class to give unneeded tax cuts to the nation’s wealthiest.

In a newsletter, Arizona State Senator Mitzi Epstein reminded her Legislative District 12 constituents of the coming fiscal hardships to Arizonan’s personal and the Grand Canyon state’s fiscal economies, stating:

“HR1 is the budget bill passed by the US Congress that cuts healthcare and programs for children, giving tax favors to billionaires and making our national debt even worse.

The bad news is that it will cost our state $438 million just for the tax changes.

In addition to that, Arizona will have to spend around $50 million more to cover SNAP benefits; that’s the couple-hundred dollars a week for food for people living in poverty. Of course, you’ve heard a lot about how the changes to Medicaid will cause 194,000 Arizonans to lose their health insurance, and about half of Arizona hospitals will be forced to operate in the red.

Rural hospitals will be especially hard hit by HR1, possibly leading to hospital closures, so it is baffling to me how Republican members of Congress in Arizona’s rural districts voted in favor of this budget mess.”

Matt Bennett, the Executive Director of Third Way wrote:

“Usually presidents get too much blame for bad economic data. But in this case, Trump is doing things that are having a direct, demonstrable impact on the economy, and none of them are good.”
Trumpomics is so bad that they are taking credit for Biden/Harris passed Infrastructure Projects and passing them off as their own achievements.

Maybe Joe Biden, because many Americans only see the headlines and bumper stickers, did err by not putting his name on the American Rescue Plan checks he sent out or plastering his name on the Infrastructure, clean energy, or CHIPS projects he approved.

But then again, he was not the egomaniac that Mr. Trump is that craved the attention and glory that the Mad King does.

Just remember, Trumpnomics sucks.

I miss Bidenomics.

You should be too.

Hopefully the American dopes that voted for Trump will finally get it despite the below editorial cartoon from Matt Wuerker.

Hopefully.

  1. While I couldn’t agree more that everything about Trump… including “Trumpnomics” really, really sucks…. it is extremely frustrating for this author to still be so deluded into believing that the only other choice is Bidenomics!!!

The answer to his question of “What’s not to miss” about Bidenomics, is:

Biden’s continued privatization of Medicare via ACO-REACH, & “Advantage” plans
Biden’s continued privatization of Medicaid (which had already been almost entirely privatized)
Biden’s continued use of the GDP (work done by employees) as the measure of economic health (despite that ever since 1980 an ever-increasing percentage of the benefits of that productivity has gone to the wealthy corporate investors, at the expense of the workers)
Biden’s war mongering: Even complete idiots recognize the need to back off when you hear a rattlesnake’s warning. But Biden just couldn’t resist immediately beating his chest and further provoking Putin, instead of negotiating, which would almost certainly been able to prevent the invasion of Ukraine.
Biden made the US complicit in Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people, and refused to back down from that even after massive protests indicating the majority of Americans were demanding Biden to stop all US military and financial aid to Israel, which would have ended the genocide!
Biden’s squashing of the railroad strike that would have likely prevented the subsequent train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
The way Biden mishandled the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan by doing it in such a sudden manner instead of a more organized withdrawal.
Biden refused to use his powers as President to alter the strongly pro-corporate Supreme Court. Instead of demanding Supreme Court reforms, Biden chose to set up a bipartisan commission instead, and quite predictably, by the time it proposed any changes, Republicans had won control of the House. Thus, Biden is responsible the Supreme Court’s subsequent rampage…. overturning federal abortion rights; limiting the government’s ability to protect the environment; ending affirmative action; allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBTQ+ customers; and offering Trump a broad shield against criminal prosecution for acts committed as president.
Instead of Biden appointing an aggressive attorney general to prosecute Trump for the violence of Jan. 6, he chose the hesitant Merrick Garland to lead the Justice Department, which ultimately allowed Trump to run out the clock on his federal prosecutors.
Biden refused to use his power to ignore the Senate Parliamentarian (whose advice is NOT binding), thus allowing many of the items in bills that would have helped working people, to be stricken.

So…. NO I do NOT long for Bidenomics!!! What most working class people long for is a TRUE PROGRESSIVE!!! NOT another Bidenesque corporate-owned Democrat!!!!

    • I am not delusional. Just well informed and familiar with history. That said, hind sight is 20/20 and some of your points where President Biden may have relied more on institutionalism and mutual respect than reacting with urgency to the threat of a returned Trumpism and ignoring the need to expand and reform the Supreme Court is correct. The other points are something else all together and you ignore all the achievements of the Biden/Harris Administration like the fact that the great majority of his judicial appointments were women and minorities or the Infrastructure Law that Mr. Trump is taking credit for or the expansion of Obamacare that Mr. Trump is taking away or all the clean energy projects that Mr. Trump is gutting.

  2. For all his ancientness Biden did a pretty good job, his main mistake was not realizing the media he professionally grew up with no longer existed. Agree in hindsight he should not have run for a second term.

His other main mistake was listening to Ron Klain and appointing Merrick Garland as Attorney General, a mistake he now acknowledges. At the time, at the urging of his other advisors, he was also considering Doug Jones who would not have been so meek.

I blame Garland for re-inflicting Felonious Punk upon the nation. In sitting on his hands for two years he was obsessed with leaving politics out of his policies and restoring “honor” to the office.

Ironically his successor, Attorney Genuflect Bondi trashed all that.

  3. Biden-omics and racism gave us PedoPOTUS 47, so, no, don’t miss him.

Biden promised his corporate donors that under his administration “nothing would change” and he kept his promise.

Young people are being scolded for not buying homes and having families and for eating avacado toast for breakfast and not having 3 jobs and a side hustle.

I see article after article and show after show with people yapping about people no longer going to the movies or whatever and they never bring up the fact that wages HAVE NOT KEPT PACE WITH INFLATION.

Biden’s job numbers were inflated because there was a job vacuum after COVID died down.

He’s the poster boy for why young people didn’t turn out, or worse, voted for “something different”.

There is no doubt that we were better off last year and no doubt that things are going to get very dark, but Biden ain’t the answer.

    Biden never should have ran.

Dems need to bury his memory in a very deep hole, fill it in with their corporate donors, and start over.

And if Dems are hoping America will notice the shit PedoPotus is pulling and vote Blue, they are not paying attention.

Don the Rapist and Project 2025 don’t want elections and don’t care how they do it.

I get the point, Trump’s policies are trash, but Trump has changed America and government and it ain’t going back.

We need to build it up better this time, not go back to Biden/Obama/Clinton.
