Moms Rising

There is a new organization advocating for family friendly policies that really support the American family. Rather than just paying lip-service to ‘family values’, they want America to put its money where its mouth is and fund progressive policies that make life better for families and keep families together, strong, and stable.

The organization is called MomsRising.org and they are taking on America’s political inertia by making motherhood the centerpiece of the their policy framing. They want MOTHER to be the center of our family policy: Maternity & paternity leave, Open flexible work, TV & after-school programs, Healthcare for all kids, Excellent childcare, and Realistic and fair wages. Right now they are petitioning for paid family leave legislation. Check them out and help this innovative new netroots lobbying organization take flight.
