Next Seditious Insurrection: Goal Posts Moved, See You In September

Update to Mark Your Calendar For The Latest Apocalyptic Prediction, And Prepare To Have A Good Laugh (excerpt):

We have a date certain. Mark your calendar to be totally disappointed, you MAGA/QAnon cult freaks.

This is next Friday, by the way. Zachary Petrizzo got a little bit ahead of himself at Salon. So, hey, it’s August — is Trump being “reinstated” as president or what?

The highly anticipated month of August is finally here, but so far Donald Trump has yet to be reinstated as president.

Many in TrumpWorld have been led to believe — and pushed others to believe — in a grand and “inevitable” to nullify the 2020 election due to baseless claims of fraud, Trump remains far from the reins of power in Washington. Admittedly it’s very early in the month, but the prospects for any sort of Trump reinstatement, powered by a thus-far-imaginary Supreme Court decision, are fading more and more with each passing hour.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, the likely originator of the idea that Trump would return to power this month, has been boosting the August date for at least the last two months. Until recently, that is, when he began walking back the idea, admitting that his timeline might be off by a few months but saying the momentous occasion would occur on “God’s time.”

But the belief that this month will see Trump back in power won’t die easily. Rank and file Republican voters, such as attendees at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) event last month in Dallas, claimed to believe in the August deliverance.

Among the 50-plus attendees Salon spoke with at CPAC Dallas, more than 40% said they believed an August Trump reinstatement was on the horizon.

Former crackhead (are we certain?) Mike Lindell was on CNN with his “proof” that would lead to Joe Biden resigning and the “reinstatement” of “Orange Julius Caesar” as Lindell’s “Dear Leader” (this is not an actual thing). He got his ass handed to him with the mockery this addled fool deserves. ‘Such utter garbage’: Stunned CNN panel buries Mike Lindell for being ‘high on his own supply’ during interview:

Appearing on CNN’s “New Day” on Friday morning, correspondent Drew Griffin shared clips from his stunning interview with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and joined co-hosts John Berman and Brianna Keilar in the trashing the supporter of ex-president Donald Trump for what Griffin called the “utter garbage” the businessman is spewing about the 2020 presidential election.

During the interview, the combative Lindell accused Griffin of not doing his homework by failing to speak with legitimate cybersecurity experts when investigating his claims.

Looking back, Griffin expressed disgust with Lindell’s claims when speaking with his CNN colleagues.

“Sorry, Drew. I have to get over my temporary shock at seeing all that,” co-host Berman began after sharing clips from the interview. “Where on Earth is Lindell getting this, I guess put it in air quotes here, ‘information?'”

‘Of course, he won’t tell us,” Griffin replied. “It’s all wrapped in his, you know, secret squirrel-type sci-fi version of what took place. but we have every reason to believe that this is nothing more than old recycled conspiracy theories from people who, quite frankly, have ripped off people like Mike Lindell in the past.”

“It does appear that Mike Lindell, although he’s not saying where these sources come from, is getting his information from the same old type of people who have been pushing this before the election of 2020,” he added. “

“Right now it’s like he’s getting high on his own supply, you know?” co-host Keilar interjected, before quipping, “It’s so crazy. But he says that he’s going to give $5 million to anyone who can prove him wrong. So, you know, are you going to share that with us, Drew?”

“Of course, he’s not going to give that away,” Griffin replied. “He’s wording things in such a way that, you know, if you can’t prove that this is data from the election — I don’t know what he actually has, if it’s just people buying stuff on Amazon that he’s collected. I don’t know. but I think the $5 million pitch is just a gimmick to ring in the ears of the people who follow Mike Lindell and think, well, if he’s willing to put up $5 million, it must be true.”

“The fact of the matter is none of this is true, Brianna. It is such utter garbage,” he continued. “What I cannot penetrate is whether or not Mike Lindell is getting scammed or might be part of it. I don’t really know because I can’t penetrate inside his brain to understand what he’s talking about. When you have a conversation with this man, it’s really difficult to understand what he understands and I know he doesn’t understand how votes are counted in the United States.”

But wait! As with all things QAnon, when one conspiracy theory does not come true, it is all part of Q’s plan, dontcha know? There is always a new Q conspiracy theory to take its place. Q is always moving the goal posts.

Another Trump ally has a new date for the next glorious seditious insurrection by MAGA/QAnon cult members to reinstate “Orange Julius Caesar” as their “Dear Leader.”

Matt Braynard, the former data chief for Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, has announced a protest next month at the nation’s Capitol — to rail on behalf of so-called “political prisoners” charged in the Jan. 6 insurrection. (I believe you meant “treasonous traitors”). ‘We’re Going Back To The Capitol’: Ex Trump Campaign Official Announces ‘Huge’ Protest:

“We’re going back to the Capitol, right where it started. And it’s going to be huge,” Matt Braynard told former White House strategist Steve Bannon as he announced the rally on Bannon’s podcast last week.

The protest, “Justice for J6,”  has been set for Sept. 18 at the Capitol. It’s being orchestrated by the group Look Ahead America, headed by Braynard.

Hello FBI: They have told you who they are, and where you can find them. Be waiting to arrest every last one of these treasonous traitor insurrectionists this time. No one walks away this time. Have the National Guard standing by if things get out of hand again.

The next big lie is to make the MAGA/QAnon violent sedition insurrection on January 6 disappear down the memory hole. Not going to let you do that, asshole. Here is the New York Times video “Day of Rage: How Trump Supporters Took the U.S. Capitol” to refresh your memory. Never forget, never forgive. These domestic terrorists must be held accountable.

“As we continue to raise the profiles of these individuals” who have been arrested, it “makes it harder and harder for the left’s phony narrative about an insurrection to stick,” Braynard told Bannon. “We’re going to push back on the phony narrative that there was an insurrection.”

Despite multiple dramatic videos of scenes to the contrary, Braynard told Bannon the crowd that day was “largely peaceful” — and simply “egged on in many cases by the Capitol Police.”

Braynard promised that “high-profile” speakers including members of Congress would attend the rally. He declined to reveal their identities to HuffPost until “confirmed.”

Safe bet that he means the Sedition Caucus usual suspects. They must be expelled from Congress for providing aid and comfort to insurrectionists. See, 18 U.S. Code § 2383.

One person who met with Trump on Saturday at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, mentioned a “rally” by a “little bit of a special group” — though it wasn’t clear if the person was referring to the new “Justice for J6” protest.

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) posted and then deleted a clip of that comment a day after former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows announced that Trump was meeting with “Cabinet members” — apparently as part of some imagined parallel presidency — to make “real” plans for the future. Trump is, of course, no longer president and has no real Cabinet.

See, Madison Cawthorn Tweet Sparks Suspicions He’s Part Of Trump’s Shadow ‘Cabinet’:

Photos posted by right-wing Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) are triggering speculation that he could be part of a mysterious shadow “Cabinet” in Donald Trump’s pretend presidency recently exposed by former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Cawthorn tweeted photos of himself at a conference room table at Trump’s Bedminster golf club in New Jersey with the former president and “business leaders.”

“On Saturday, I hosted a round table with special guest [former] President Donald Trump and several key business leaders to create a path forward to victory for the country and to provide election security nationwide,” Cawthorn tweeted.

The “roundtable” also apparently doubled as a $50,000-a-head fundraiser for Cawthorn.

Meadows revealed in a Newsmax interview that he and “President Trump” were meeting with unidentified “Cabinet members” to discuss “plans to move forward in a real way.”

He refused to detail the plans. Nor did Meadows identify the “Cabinet members.” It was not clear if they were Trump’s former Cabinet members from when he actually was president or part of some new panel assembled by Trump and Meadows.

[C]awthorn also posted a video of himself at the meeting in which he seemed to be rolling his eyes as someone else spoke. He later deleted the clip, which was labeled “Creating the Plan to Win.”

Also at the meeting was the lawmaker’s wife, Cristina Cawthorn, and right-wing commentator Rogan O’Handley, who posted a photo of the meeting on Instagram. Trump looks surly in Cawthorn’s video.

HuffPost continues:

Braynard told HuffPost he was unaware of that meeting or the video. He later clarified that the “rally” mentioned in the clip had nothing to do with his.

Braynard said he has already obtained permission for the rally from the Metropolitan Police Department, pending final checks the day of the protest.

An MPD spokesperson would not confirm to HuffPost that a permit had been approved. A Capitol Police spokesperson said the department is aware of the rally but cannot discuss a permit or security plans.

So you can get a permit to schedule a violent seditious insurrection these days? WTF people.

The rally is planned for the West Lawn of the Capitol, where protesters moved on the building after Trump told them to go there and “fight much harder.”

Braynard told HuffPost the rally is only in support of “nonviolent” Capitol protesters. That includes Ashli Babbit, who crawled through a broken window in a barricaded door to get to members of Congress. As a mob of rioters yelled “Let’s go” and “Fuck the blue,” a Capitol Police officer warned Babbit to stop before he fatally shot her. (The incident can be seen in a disturbing video here.)
Braynard [falsely] claimed that Babbit had been “executed.” The officer who shot her has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Braynard said the rally will focus on arrests linked to the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol and will discourage protesters from holding signs about any election or candidates and will also discourage the use of “MAGA gear.” Asked if his group had been active on behalf of any peaceful “political prisoners” arrested at Black Lives Matter protests, he said: “I don’t know anything about that.”

Amid talk of coming protests and Trump’s “reinstatement,” security officials fear a repeat of the Capitol insurrection or even more serious domestic terrorism.

Then why are you giving them a permit?

Trump disciple and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell initially said that the former president would somehow be reinstated to the White House in mid-August. He revised that prediction in an interview with a far-right-wing radio program last week, claiming instead that Trump will present “proof” next month to the Supreme Court that the election was “stolen by the Chinese.” No credible evidence has yet emerged to support this.

Nevertheless, Lindell believes that after Trump makes his case, the court could decide to order an election do-over. Maybe “that’s a thing,” he added.

Also not a real thing.

Spare me that “political prisoner” bullshit. As U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson says, they are neither patriots or political prisoners. Not patriots, not political prisoners — U.S. judges slam Capitol riot defendants at sentencing:

“You called yourself and the others patriots, but that’s not patriotism. Patriotism is loyalty to country, loyalty to the Constitution, not loyalty to a single head of state. That’s the tyranny we rejected on July 4th of 1776.”

Comments by Jackson, Dresch’s judge and a 2011 Barack Obama appointee, were seconded Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Thomas F. Hogan, a 1983 Ronald Reagan appointee, who sentenced the Bustles.

“Patriots are not the ones who attack the operations of Congress” or attempt to stop elected lawmakers in both parties from performing their constitutional duties, Hogan said. “That is revolution, not patriotism.”

These traitors are openly conspiring for another seditious insurrection. Why in the hell are they not being rounded up on conspiracy charges? Why are we waiting for something to happen? Conspiracy is all you need to make an arrest.
