NORAD Santa Tracker

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

Christmas Eve has arrived, which can only mean that millions of children (and even many adults) are asking the question: Where is Santa right now? Where is Santa right now? 2012 NORAD Santa Tracker:

According to the Norad Santa Tracker 2012 and Google Santa Tracker new this year Santa is already on his way on Christmas Eve. By 7:30 a.m., he was in Australia and had delivered more than 700 million gifts. To track Santa, visit the Official Norad Santa Tracker here. Or, visit Google's Santa Tracker here.

This year, children and adults can also track Santa as he flies around the world on mobile devices. The NORAD Tracks Santa App for iOS and Android is available, and Santa tweets updates, and the app is filled with all kinds of historical and scientific data — for instance, he'll be in and out of your house in about three ten-thousandths of a second.

Luckily, that's plenty of time for you to capture a photo of him with the iCaughtSanta app. Snap a quick pic of your own living room and the app inserts a photo of Santa so you can "prove" he was there.

NORAD Santa Tracker is a "joint U.S.-Canada command responsible for protecting the skies over both nations, says its Santa-tracking rite was born of a humble typo in a newspaper ad in 1955."

Volunteers staff the NORAD station and take calls for a 24-hour shift at 877-HI-NORAD (877-446-6723), telling callers when Santa is expected at their house.
