Florida Senator Rick Scott, head of the Republican Study Committee, has doubled down on his plan to end Social Security and Medicare. The proposal would cancel the benefit programs most Americans rely on in old age. Scott’s plan would sunset — eliminate — all federal legislation, including Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Last week, Republican Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson voiced his support for eliminating Social Security and Medicare as federal benefit programs. Join us at our latest DGT.org evening Salon. Our panelist will discuss the real-life consequences of this legislation regarding Social Security, Medicare, and the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. Sunday, October 30, 9:00 a.m.: Cyclovia Tucson on a brand new route! Four miles of car-free city streets will be open to people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike, roll, skate, and enjoy neighborhoods, participate in free activities, support local businesses, and connect with one another.

Friday, November 4 – Sunday, November 6: 33rd Annual All Souls Procession weekend in Tucson. The All Souls Weekend hosts a myriad of events preceding the main event at 4:00 p.m on Sunday November 6, 2022.
