President Obama at the White House Correspondents Dinner

The comedy stylings of President Barack Obama at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

Michael Steele is in the house tonight…or as he would say, in the hee-zee…what’s up?

Michael, where are you? [Steele stands up.] Wussup?

Michael, for the last time, the Republican Party does not qualify for a bailout. Rush Limbaugh does count as a troubled asset. Sorry.

Dick Cheney was supposed to be here, but he couldn’t. He’s working on his memoirs — How to shoot friends and interrogate people.

Wanda Sykes is an acquired taste. I certainly share your enthusiasm for Stephen Colbert. Can you imagine what that would have been like with Obama and Colbert????

  2. I watched this for less than ten minutes. I wasn’t captivated by Wanda Sykes presentation.

I look forward to the 2010 WHCA dinner, hopefully they can find someone with Mr. Colbert’s critical comedic skill.

Thaat speech was chock full of truly witty and terribly funny quips!! Not only are we blessed with a President who takes his responsibilities very seriously, a president who conducts press conferences (that’s the first) and actually answers questions from the press and the public (that’s the second) he has a wonderful – an absolutely delicious wit!! I am not ashamed to admit I watched it twice!!!!
