The Research 2000 (R2K) pollster hired by Daily Kos released its state poll for Arizona on Friday, and Arizona is a statistical dead heat. Daily Kos McCain leads Obama 48 to 47%. The poll has a ±4% margin of error. The key number from the internals is that Obama is winning the early vote by a 54%-42% margin, and this group made up 17% of the poll sample. (Approximately half of all voters vote early in Arizona).
And a polling bonus treat for Democrats in 2010:
If the 2010 election for U.S. Senate were held today for whom would you vote for if the choices were between Janet Napolitano the Democrat and John McCain the Republican?
McCain (R) 45
Napolitano (D) 53
The hope still lives, the dream will never die. Let's turn Arizona blue!
