The vlie nature of the Tea Party is common knowledge. We all agree they have no redeeming qualities.
Unless you're a Democratic leader, especially in the Senate. Because if we didn't have the Tea Party, folks might focus more on what a pathetic cast of characters we have representing us from the supposedly progressive side of the aisle.
While doing paperwork last night I had the TV on in the background. I was treated to a press conference featuring Senators Reid, Durbin, and Schumer following the Senate vote. Patty Murray was there as well, but I didn't hear her speak. It was positively pukeworthy. There was not an ounce of humility among the three of them. They just went on and on congratulating each other for the great job they'd done. As if they had rescued children from a burning building or something.
They sounded eerily similar to Mary Landrieu in the wake of the Katrina disaster, when Anderson Cooper ripped her a new you know what. Eight years later, Landrieu still is there. No big deal. She's no worse than the rest of them.
A few months back, Diane Feinstein defended the NSA spying on Americans because they might become terrorists in the future.
If you're wondering why the folks on one side of the aisle are able to wreak so much havoc, it may be because the folks on the other side of the aisle are so pathetic.
