I mock the advertising lede for Meet The Press Gregory, where Sen. John McCain has his own green room. McCain is mockingly known as "Senator Sunday." In fact, he is appearing on FAUX News Sunday this weekend (while his puppet boy, Little Lindsey Graham, is over at Face The Nation Schieffer). UPDATE: This was an inaccurate list… don't worry, he'll be back.
McCain has always been a media whore — the media villagers are his only political base. He would not exist today without the symbiotic relationship between him and the Beltway media villagers who adore him and still believe that he has something relevant to say.
So this story is hiarious in the way it demonstrates Sen. John McCain's complete lack of self-awareness, and his being all puffed-up full of himself like a peacock. Steve Benen reports, McCain laments 'wacko birds':

In 2012, John McCain made 21 Sunday show
appearances. So far this year, there have been nine weekends, and McCain
has been on six Sunday shows. On a typical Capitol Hill workday, McCain
can expect to be invited to speak on camera on a nearly daily basis,
and be sought out by print reporters at least as often.
When it comes to members of Congress, very few people if any have as much access to the Beltway media as John McCain.

Of all the arguments McCain can make against his foes, this seems like
the one he ought to avoid.
