Time has not made the family situation better in the Gosar Clan.
Two years ago, six of Arizona Congressional District Four Representative Paul Gosar recorded a testimonial condemning their fringe brother and embracing his Democratic Opponent.
The People of Congressional District Four did not heed this inside information in 2018.
Mr. Gosar was reelected and he continued to demonstrate his fondness for conspiracy theories and radical right-wing fringe groups and their dogma.
He has told 9/11 First Responders no to additional medical assistance and avoids the people in his own district when it comes to debating the issues with his opponent, Democratic Nominee Delina DiSanto. He has even supported measures to make it harder for them to vote by mail during the middle of a pandemic.
The six siblings that broke with their brother in 2018 are hoping the people of Congressional District Four have learned their lessons.
Today, they announced their support for the Democratic Congressional Nominee, Delina DiSanto.
In their joint statement, the Gosar siblings (Grace, Jennifer, Joan, Gaston, David, and Tim Gosar) wrote:
“We endorse Delina DiSanto for Congress. It’s time to elect someone who will serve you in a calm, mature, and respectful manner. A person who actually lives in the district and who cares about your healthcare and financial concerns in these very difficult times.
Paul serves the very wealthy and powerful – not you, the people – as he clearly proved when he enthusiastically voted for the 2017 tax cuts for the rich and special interests. He proved it again this year when he voted for the first coronavirus stimulus package that mostly went to bail them out. Yet, he voted against the Heroes Act (H.R.6800) – the coronavirus stimulus package for the average person – claiming that it would increase the deficit. But he wasn’t the least bit concerned about the deficit when he voted for the tax cuts for the rich and the first stimulus bill. And he also supports the lawsuit currently before the U.S. Supreme Court that would eliminate coverage for preexisting conditions. While the special interests he serves will rake in huge profits if that happens, you’ll be left holding the bag.
It’s time to give someone else a chance. Delina will be a leader you can be proud of; not someone who constantly makes himself the butt of national jokes. Unlike Paul, who for 8 years did absolutely nothing to lower prescription drug costs and improve your healthcare, she’ll actually deliver.
In 2020, vote for yourself by voting for Delina.”
Grace Gosar, MD
Jennifer Gosar, MSW, CMI
Joan Gosar, C.E.
Gaston Gosar, J.D.
David Gosar, J.D.
Tim Gosar, PI
Responding to the endorsement, Ms. DiSanto wrote:
“I am honored to receive the endorsement and support from Representative Paul Gosar’s family. We have had enough of leaders who put special interests above people. It is time for fresh leadership that is powered by empathy, dignity, and strength.”
“I understand that Arizona families are facing real challenges when it comes to issues like healthcare and jobs. I will fight for your family, your health, and your jobs. Gosar fights for greed, power, and control, and we have had enough of that in Congressional District Four.”
People in Arizona Congressional District Four really need to pause for a moment and ponder the below question.
If Paul Gosar’s siblings think he is unfit for office, why should I?
