Should I run for Congress?
by Frank Antenori on Wednesday, 15 June 2011 at 22:30

Over the past few weeks many have emailed me or asked me in person if I would run for Congress. The answer is Yes, I am now seriously considering a run for Congress in 2012.

As someone who spent over 20 years in the military, putting my life on the line to fight for freedom and to defend our liberty, I have a strong desire to step in and take the fight to a higher level. It would be an honor to serve you in Congress and work to “Build a Better America” for our kids and grandkids.

Just as our state faces many challenges, the challenges our country faces are far greater and it is difficult to sit idly by while I watch the country I fought so hard to defend be dismantled by those in Washington that do not value freedom, do not respect our Constitution and do not honor the intent of our forefathers to ensure that a “government of the People and by the People, shall not perish from the Earth.”

However, before I begin that battle there are a lot of questions that need to be answered and a big decision to be made. Arizona is gaining a new Congressional District; how will it affect the boundaries of our existing eight districts? What kind of support can I expect? Can we assemble a dedicated team of volunteers? Can we raise the money necessary to win?

Or, should I stay in the Arizona Legislature and continue to build on my solid record of fighting for limited government, less spending, lower taxes, support of free enterprise and protection of your individual freedoms?

When all of those questions are answered, then it will be time to sit down with my wife and two sons, and some of my most respected friends and advisors to make that decision.

So, please help me answer some of those questions. Should I run and can I expect your full support? Or should I stay in the legislature?

Please send you comments to runforcongress@cox.net

Warmest Regards,

Frank

So my only choices are that Antenori runs for Congress or stays in the Arizona legislature? I can think of a half-dozen things I'd like to see Antenori do, most of which are not fit to print here.

Dan Gibson noticed this as well and came up with another option. Frank Antenori Wants Your Help to Make Important Decisions | The Range:

At first, the only options were "Yes, we need you in Congress", "Yes, run and I will help you", and "No, stay in the state Legislature", so I added another option to balance things out a bit. Feel free to chime in with your advice.
