Still waiting on updated numbers in Tucson mayor and council races

Jim Nintzel saved me the trouble of a phone call. He posts at the Tucson Weekly, Vote Counting Scheduled for 3 p.m. Today | The Range:

Assistant City Clerk Suzanne Mesich tells The Range that the city will count the remaining 8,000 or so votes in this year's city election at 3 p.m. today. She expects it will take several hours to complete the process.

And at that point, we should have a winner in the Ward 4 race between Councilwoman Shirley Scott and GOP challenger Tyler Vogt, who are separated by 1,754 votes.

The calculations I have been told is that Vogt needs in excess of 60% of the outstanding ballots. It's possible, but highly improbable, based upon previous election history.
