In a chaotic Administration where loyalty is valued over competence and reactionism over pragmatic solutions, the Popular Vote Loser President, currently presiding over the third team of cabinet and administrative heads (not including the posts that have vacancies or are not headed by someone labeled acting before the job title), has decided to nominate two yes men, Stephen Moore and Herman Cain to governing posts on the Federal Reserve Board.
This is another example of this President elevating the worst and dumbest to influential positions of power.

While Herman Cain did serve as a Federal Reserve Governor at the Kansas City Regional Bank, his views as a Presidential Candidate (remember 999) and accusations of sexual harassment would probably have disqualified him from consideration in most other administrations.
Stephen Moore, a devout Supply Sider economist who frequently tangles with Robert Reich on CNN over prescriptions for the economy, has himself said he is not well versed on “monetary policy.” He also has some disqualifying (at least for most past administrations) “baggage” for not paying child support to his ex-wife.

The apparent goal of sending these two nominees to the Senate for consideration is to have two yes men advocating for the President’s economic positions even though they would be two of seven members.
These two nominations should not proceed out of committee, let alone consideration on the Senate floor. This is one more example of this President putting devotion to him as the main criteria for selecting people to fill government positions instead of what is good for the country. This is one more example of poor governance. It is one more example of the nation taking a step backward. It shows that the swamp is filling up and not getting drained.
