The three finalists for Daniel Patterson’s seat

Not the choices I expected, but I don't have a vote. The Arizona Daily Star reports on the three finalists for Daniel Patterson's seat. 3 finalists for District 29 job are new to politics:

Three finalists have been selected in the process to replace former state Rep. Daniel Patterson, who resigned last week.

The finalists are attorney Nicholas Fontana, aerospace engineer Albert Jordan and union leader Leon Sierra.

None is an experienced politician, and each says education is his top priority in the coming state budget vote.

The Board of Supervisors is accepting public comment on the finalists. Go to pima.gov to submit a comment.

On Monday at 9:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Conference Room, Pima County Administration Building, 130 W. Congress Street, first floor, the Board of Supervisors will appoint a new Representative for LD 29 to complete the term of Daniel Patterson. April 23, 2012 Agenda (.pdf).
