An American Research Group poll published this week found Trump’s approval at just 29 percent — a new low for his presidency and a flashing warning sign for the congressional Republicans being dragged beneath a growing Blue Wave.

“Whatever truths we can glean from Trump’s trainwreck of a second term, it is clear the MAGA base is now deserting him in record numbers,” said Max Burns in The Hill. “Perhaps, more than high gas and grocery prices, Americans have just had enough of politicians who don’t seem to care about their problems.”
“These prices are gutting the middle class like a fish, and they expect Congress to address them. And we should have started five months ago. We didn’t. But we need to start talking about it now,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) said.
At a campaign event in North Carolina last Wednesday, Trump scolded Americans for complaining about high gas prices when things could be so much worse.
Regarding the endless $45 billion war in Iran, Trump actually said, “It’s a very inexpensive price to pay for what we’ve done.” Trump’s war has shut down oil shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and a Saudi pipeline.
A Fox News poll conducted Sept. 11-14 found that more than two-thirds of voters — including one-quarter of Republicans — blame Trump for making the economy worse. Those voters also trust Democrats over Republicans to address the inflation crisis by 15 points, one of the largest spreads to date.

Blue wave coming
“Democrats seem poised for a wave election,” wrote Nate Cohn in the New York Times.
“More recently, the high-profile national polls have shown Democrats faring even better. The Times/Siena poll showed Democrats up by 8.5 points, while Quinnipiac University, Marquette University Law School and YouGov/Economist all gave Democrats double-digit leads,” he added.
Polls also show Democrats making enormous gains among Hispanic voters.
Trump’s Nazi-like immigration policies are unpopular beyond his base. Only 36% of Americans overall supported it and 55% disapproved. ICE has operated as a murderous private army, despised in cities where its masked, badgeless troopers have been stationed.
There is also broad dissatisfaction with his governing and leadership because of his self-destructive tariffs, the pointless feud with Canada, the illegal $5,000 offer to voters, his press ban, his shuttering of the Kennedy Center and his pathetic self-glorification.
