Using the World Cup as a Backdrop, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes Launches Releases English and Spanish Re-Election Ads

With the World Cup set to dominate sporting news in the coming weeks, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes has released two re-election ads, one in English and the other in Spanish, using the soccer tournament as the backdrop to reintroduce the candidate to voters and highlight her pro-consumer and pro-safety record in office.

The first ad is called “Team Arizona.”

The transcript, with Attorney General Mayes narrating, is below.

“You don’t play for the name on the back.

You play for the name on the front.

I’m Kris Mayes. As your Attorney General, I’ve always fought for Arizona first.

Locking up drug smugglers and scammers.

Making big corporations and price gougers pay their fair share.

To protect every Arizonan – from business owners to our kids.

Because every win in court has been a win for the home team.

So let’s stay in this fight – because together, we’ll take Arizona all the way.”

The second ad, in English and Spanish, is called “Home Game.”

The transcript for that ad is below.

“Attorney General Kris Mayes gets it. She’s a mom too. And she’s dedicated to protecting all Arizonans.

Como parte de nuestro equipo, Kris nos ha defendido de muchos rivales.

Like the corporations that price gouge and hurt our families.

O las compañías que abusan de nuestro agua.

She’s also fought to protect our children from online predators.

We all know that without a good defense, nobody’s winning.

Pero si Kris Mayes sigue nuestro lado, podemos confiar que estamos en buenas manos.”

Commenting on the two ads, Mayes Campaign Manager Delaney Corcoran wrote in a press release:

“These ads are about meeting Arizonans where they are. For the next few weeks, millions of Arizonans will gather with their families and tune into the World Cup. There, they’ll hear directly from AG Mayes about how she’s holding corporate price gougers accountable, fighting for lower electricity and rent, and protecting Arizonans from deadly fentanyl.”
