Watch out Alta Arizona! This carpetbagger has eyes for you

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

The bain of Baja Arizona and the wannabe tinhorn dictator of Tucson has been thwarted in his evil designs here, so now he has turned his eyes northward to Alta Arizona and the new CD 1 congressional district.

That's right, Jonathan "Payday" Paton only has eyes for you, Alta Arizona. Only he doesn't live in CD 1 (it's not required for congressional candidates), but this carpetbagger is considering moving to the CD 1 carve-out in Pima County in Marana. Political Futures | Tucson Weekly:

[There is] no incumbent in CD1, where Ann Kirkpatrick is already seeking a comeback. She's expected to face Wenona Benally Baldenegro, of the Navajo nation, in the Democratic primary.

On the GOP side, potential candidates include Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce and former state lawmakers Bill Koponicki and Jonathan Paton.

Paton tells the Tucson Weekly he's considering a run.

"I've been talking to people about it," says Paton, who lost the GOP primary for Giffords' CD8 in 2010 to Jesse Kelly, the Republican newcomer who would go on to lose to Giffords by a few thousand votes. "I'm getting a lot of positive feedback from people who supported Jesse Kelly and (former CD8 opponent) Brian Miller."

You should note that these are Pima County Tea-Publicans who are supportive. I don't see any Alta Arizonans who actually live in CD 1 that he is bragging about. And Dude, you lost to a political neophyte in a GOP primary that was tailor made for you. Don't quit your day job.

Maybe Payday needs a reminder that we still have a bunch of those PaydayPaton dot.com signs that we will be happy to make available to our neighbors in Alta Arizona.
