Hi Everyone. I do not know exactly what to say about last night’s elections results. I am astounded that millions of people, acting like modern Judases, potentially sold out the nation’s Democracy over the price of bread, including millions who the now President-Elect’s and his surrogates called “trash” and “garbage.” Joe Biden and Kamala Harris (who, unlike her opponent, ran, in my opinion, an excellent and near flawless campaign) did great service to this country delivering valuable investments for the people like reduced drug costs and vital infrastructure. And millions of people rewarded that service by bringing back a convicted felon, twice impeached, adjudicated rapist and failed first term President who mismanaged a global pandemic and tried to stage a coup when he lost. Talk about rewarding bad behavior.
Great thinking PEOPLE. Like Barack Obama said on the campaign trail. “You really think Donald Trump cares about you.”
They are probably about to find out the hard way again.
I will have more to write later.
Like the first Trump term, we will survive him again.
There are still outstanding Arizona contests that still may go Democrats way and voters should be cautiously hopeful that Democrats take the House of Representatives.
It is just amazing that so many people forgot last night what Mr. Trump is and what he did during his first term and afterward.
Shame on them.
It says a lot about the need to have more history, government, and economics education in our public schools.
God save the Republic.
Bless this nation and help us get through these next four years.

I could not disagree more with “potentially sold out the nation’s Democracy over the price of bread”. The fact that Trump won the national vote, not just the electoral college, means we Democrats have to rethink words like those quoted above. First, do not disparage the American public, we too are them, and we depend on them. Second, recognize – positively and as a fact – that the price of bread did indeed matter to the general public. Third, and this is important: the Republicans have learned the art of persuasion way better than we Democrats have; and politics is the art of persuasion. Politics is not the art of just asking democrats to go vote. And persuasion has to happen all the time, not just before elections.
Frankly, this is a time to rethink, regroup, and develop a whole fresh perspective on just what needs to be done and how. The Democrats have well and truly lost credibility with this election, and the sooner we recognize that fact the better for us and the rest of the world.
Come to me in six months and say how my words are harsh when the first detention/concentration camps are formed by the new Administration that Trump said he wanted to create.
My guess is that millions of people supported a convicted fraudster, adjudicated rapist, and presumed traitor because the other candidate was a woman.
The two general elections that he won were against women; the one he lost was against a man.
Hmmm….
You should read David Brooks’s article in the New York Times. Not sure if is behind a paywall.

Your rhetoric is nearly as bad as Trump’s. Name-calling, inane repeating of Trump’s faults and blatent lies, etc. Did you think this would sway the AZ voters? I no longer read your blog. To me, you’ve become part of problem – the division, the hatred. I am as disappointed as you and millions of others, but I won’t stoop to Trump’s theatrics. Why have you decided to “join” him?
…and the border mess, and the weak foreign policy, and the lies about Biden’s mental state, and the inability of a far-left candidate to do 180s on key issues, and the crazy Democrat positions on gender, and trying to play both sides on the Hamas issue, and her terrible evasive interviews, and crowning her the candidate, and throwing Biden off the train, and the attitude that many Dems, like you, have that the people are stupid, which you repeat in your post.
But don’t believe me because I want you to repeat all your errors in four years.
You and your buddies are the ones that think of the people as stupid John, peddling them with lies and untruths about reality and bestowing on them a failed President who was twice impeached, convicted 34 times, found to be an adjudicated rapist, mismanaged a global pandemic that killed thousands, tanked the economy, and tried to stage a coup. Which President achieved infrastructure? Joe Biden. Which President signed the CHIPS and Science Act that Trump is threatening to take away from some of your consitiuents? Joe Biden. Which President successfully oversaw the end of the Coronavirus? Joe Biden. Which President signed into law a Prescription Drug Benefit for Seniors. Joe Biden. Which President had to deal with the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal plan concluded by Mr. Trump? Joe Biden. Which President had to use an executive order to take care of border security when your party and Duce stymied attempt after attempt at immigration reform? Joe Biden. I am sorry the people were, yes, suckered by Trump and the likes of you again.
The five stages of grief – denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance – are often talked about as if they happen in order, moving from one stage to the other.
David,
You are in stage one. If this post angers you, you can thank me for getting you to stage two.
Ok, that was funny.
That was a very weak response John. As usual you did not refute any of the facts I presented in my response to you. My hope is that the people will eventually realize what flim flam artists the “plutocrat” and “oligarch” MAGA servants are.
yep!
