While Laurie Roberts at AZ Central has skillfully depicted how deranged MAGA House Representative and Arizona Gubernatorial Candidate Andy Biggs is trying, through lies and sheer bull fecal matter, how the first 100 days of the return of Donald Trump has been a success, Arizona Democrats, more grounded in reality and non fiction, have offered a more accurate appraisal of the first three months of the Musk/Trump/Vance Central Committee.
Arizona Congressional District Three House Representative Yassamin Ansari, appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, discussed Trump’s authoritarian tendencies the first 100 days, especially on denying due process in immigration matters, saying:
“Trump pledged mass deportations, which of course I am vehemently against. But now when you have situation where the Supreme Court of the United States is is making a ruling, and the President is openly defying that, and we are really honing into this issue of due process, because I think at the core of it. Americans, whether you’re a Republican, independent Democrat, believe in fundamental rights we have as Americans, including due process. I think that’s making a big difference. I represent Arizona, Obviously, a state that’s on the front lines of this issue, and whether I speak with Democrats, or, you know, more moderate Republicans. I think people are very concerned about this authoritarian nature of this Administration.”
She also expressed hope in the resistance Democrats are putting forth, conveying:
“I think what I love that I’m seeing is you have Democrats from variety of backgrounds doing what it is that they are good at. So from massive rallies, but obviously AOC and Bernie Sanders are hosting to Town Halls in Republican districts that many of us are hosting to Senator Booker on the Senate floor. I think we are demonstrating that outside of typical, you know, business as usual, actions like legislative priorities, we are fighting back in every way, shape, or form that we can, and, and I think you can expect more.”
Ansari and fellow Arizona House Representative Greg Stanton also released a joint statement where they remarked:
Stanton: “One question we have to ask ourselves our families in Arizona and across the country better off today than they were 100 days ago. I think the answer is unequivocal no, For almost every Arizona family, the answer is no. We’ve seen a hundred days marked by chaos. Chaos that have made life more expensive for working families. Disrupted services that families in Arizona depend on and even undermine the rule of law itself. In Congress, we have a responsibility to hold the administration accountable when their actions hurt the people that we serve.”
Ansari: “Utter chaos, mismanagement, and cruelty at the highest levels. Trump’s first hundred days have brought vast cuts across the federal government, kicking many hard-working Americans, including veterans in my district out of a job. He’s already worked to roll back essential Equity programs, landmark climate change initiatives, and Environmental Protection Programs, not to mention poorly handled and nonsensical tariffs that Arizonans across the political spectrum disagree with from rising prices on everything from tomatoes to used cars. Arizona families are hurting.”
Senator Mark Kelly issued a video release on social media, saying:
“Hey folks, it’s been 100 days since Donald Trump got sworn in as President. So 100 days that is made us poorer and less safe as a country. Costs have gone up for the American people and programs that the American people rely on, like their health care and Social Security are under attack by Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s cabinet, and this Administration is not helping every day, folks. It is hurting our country and the policies this big giant tax cut for the wealthiest Americans is not helping everyday people. That’s what they should be focused on. They’re not. My job here is to fight back and hold the administration accountable. I’m going to continue to do that. I’m going to try to protect things like Medicaid and Medicare and Social Security that you rely on, and your family members rely on. But I need your help. Uh, so don’t give up. Don’t lose hope here. Be in this. Fight with us. Speak out. Thank you.”
To help the nation’s economy, supply chains, and infrastructure, the Senator has touted his proposals to revitalize American Shipping.
Fresh off helping to get the Musk/Trump/Vance regime to release vital Head Start funding for needy Arizona children, Senator Ruben Gallego also released a video statement, commenting:
“The first hundred days, and let’s be clear, this is a total shit show. Why is that? Well, right now, Amazon today announced that they’re going to start adding the cost of tariffs every time you check out. We’re seeing some of the biggest indicators that we’re going to be going into a recession coming next week. You know, I ran and and was willing to work with Administration to bring down the costs of everyday living for our working families. Americans all across this country and what it’s actually has happened is quite the opposite. This President’s caused more chaos has caused more insecurity and has brought so much fear into our communities that people are, you know, now actively saying that they, they fear the next three years of this presidency. I’ll continue to work hard to make sure that all, especially Arizonans have a chance at the American Dream, to continue to bring down costs, however possible. But let’s be clear, the first hundred days. What Trump has done is quite the opposite. He literally took the world’s best economy at absolutely tanked it much faster than he did for his casinos in New Jersey. So, heck of a job, Donald Trump. When you jumped into this race, you said that we get so sick of winning. I’d like to actually see that winning soon.”

@ Sen. Kavanagh –
What David said, plus rhe value of the stock market is NOT the same as how the economy is doing for normal folks.
Not hardly.
The economy is not tanked. The NY Times recently reported that the S&P Index is the same now as it was on April 2nd, when Trump began the tariffs. Trump is trying to write a one trillion dollar trade imbalance. Do you think that is good?
Hi John. Three things. Still waiting for replies to request for comments and your source on the Obama deportation numbers. Second, it is “right,’ not write. Third, Mr. Trump indicated that it was okay to have a short term recession with his tariffs if it all comes out fantastically. Of course, putting faith in the economic prowess of a man that bankrupted a casino and was found liable for business fraud (amongst other crimes) is probably mislaid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9zWlk0MPvs
The 2011 Chief Justice Earl Warren study said 52% were removed under the Secure Communities Program. Am I wright?
A higher figure was quoted by Bill O”Reilly, but 52% makes Obama a deporter in chief sans hearing.
Again, I remind you of the vast difference of removal to the immigrant’s country of origin and deportation to indefinite detention in a concentration camp in a third country. Are you dense or just dishonest, Johnny?
And the answer is a resounding YES!
He can be two things.
The 2011 study by the Chief Justice Earl Warren Institute said 52% but Bill O’Reilly said it was higher. Either way, Obama is the Deporter-in-Chief Sans Hearings.
John, after decades of GOP/Tea Party/MAGAt rule, Arizona is last or near last in all the things we don’t want to be last in.
So maybe we don’t give a fuck what you think, because you are not, based on the evidence, very bright.
But it’s a free country, you go ahead and keep trying to distract everyone from your pathetic record.
If I was you I wouldn’t want people looking at my record either.
We all thought the failing New York Times never tells the truth, according to your hero. By the way we need an article on your party’s obscene legislative blackmail on vouchers. If you have the guts put vouchers on the ballot alone, up or down. No poison pills, if you so confident in them. No guts, no glory, John. No guts is likely.
With 0.3% shrikage in the economy this quarter, we are halfway to a recession. That is a tanking economy. As the MAGAs love to point out, the stock market is not the real economy. Can’t have it both ways, Johnny.
What I think is that it is quite likely impossible to ‘write(sp!) a one trillion dollar trade imbalance’ without coming MUCH closer to a balanced Federal budget. The closest one comes to a law in economics is the correlative relationship between a nation’s budget deficit and its trade deficit, which move in tandem. Since Trump has ZERO intention of closing the budget deficit (which will likely INCREASE under Trump to pay for his tax cuts to the wealthiest as there is simply not enough ‘waste, fraud and abuse’ to do pay fors – what will ACTUALLY happen is that BENEFITS will be cut for pay fors and the budget will still get no closer to balance), he has ZERO chance of actually closing the trade deficit.
Tariffs and new trade deals are NOT going to actually reduce the trade deficit, and will likely make it worse as nations retaliate and tariff or non-tariff penalties will erode our services trade SURPLUSES. If there is any lesson to be learned here, it is that Trump and MAGA have NO IDEA how the global economy actually works, or what policies might actually adjust our balance of trade. We have a gang of chimps trying to fix a running engine with a hand grenade. When it explodes, they will all claim that Biden made them pull the pin: MMW!
