It was a busy day at the Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes’s office.
Kris Mayes has led her office in suing “pharmaceutical manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for engaging in deceptive and unfair practices that endangered vulnerable asthma patients, especially children, while exploiting taxpayers.”
What GSK did was substitute their brand medication for a generic one in order to reap greater profits at the expense of their vulnerable customers.
In an office press release, the Attorney General stated:
“GSK put corporate greed ahead of the health and safety of Arizona’s families and children. Their manipulation of the system has left countless patients without access to life-saving medication, caused a spike in emergency room visits, and likely contributed to preventable deaths. My office will not stand by while corporations put profit ahead of the health of children.”
Attorney General Mayes also heaped praise on the judicial ruling blocking Donald Trump’s attempt to unilaterally end birthright citizenship and eviscerate the Fourteenth Amendment.
In a second press release, Mayes commented:
“Today’s ruling is a win for the Constitution and the rule of law. The court’s decision to block this illegal executive order nationwide protects the basic right to birthright citizenship guaranteed by the 14th Amendment. I will keep fighting to protect the Constitutional rights of all Arizonans from the Trump administration’s illegal actions.”
At the end of the day, Mayes was joining ten other states in suing the Musk/Trump Administration for unconstitutionally allowing DOGE staffers access to private information on American Citizens.
In the above video, the Arizona Attorney General said:
“The all out assault on federal agencies by the unelected, unaccountable billionaire Elon Musk and his DOGE employees is an outrageous abuse of power. This administrative coup of the federal government has upended the lives and livelihoods of thousands of faithful public servants. And it has led Americans from across the political spectrum to rightfully question the security of their private personal and financial data…We can not allow this illegal and reckless chaos from the Trump Administration to stand. So in defense of our Constitution, our right to privacy, and the essential funding that individuals and communities nationwide are counting on, we will imminently be filing a lawsuit to stop this injustice. Please know that I will never stop fighting for Arizonans.”
