Documentary ‘Corruptionland’ Exposes $377 Billion in Corruption in Trump’s Washington

Defiance.org today released Corruptionland, a documentary investigation into corruption in Trump’s Washington, along with a public ledger documenting 100 episodes of alleged corruption and abuses of power since Donald Trump’s re-election, totaling more than $377 billion.

The 35-minute film streams free at Corruptionland.org, alongside an interactive map of Washington that lets viewers explore each alleged episode of corruption. Watch the documentary below on YouTube.

Defiance.org is a nonprofit launched in October 2025 to counter government corruption and abuses of power.

The $377 billion figure measures scale, representing public money, private benefit, and/or transaction volume involved in the top 100 alleged cases of corruption. Many instances carry no dollar value, as they are difficult to quantify, such as the prosecution of the president’s critics or the total economic cost of retaliatory tariffs.

“For two years, Trump’s scandals have hit one at a time, and each one gets buried under the next,” said Miles Taylor, executive producer of the film and the former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security. “So we added them up. When you put 100 episodes in one place, the scale is staggering: $377 billion in a tangled web of alleged corruption that is without any precedent in American history.”

“Even that number undersells it, because you can’t put a price on the president’s revenge agenda and his weaponization of federal power. Every American deserves to see the full picture before they vote, and now they can,” he said.

In the film, Taylor walks the National Mall with Donald Sherman, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), to observe sites related to alleged presidential misconduct.

Taylor also sits down with former officials and advocates who watched the government’s safeguards dismantled from the inside, including:

  • Former DOJ Pardon Attorney Liz Oyer
  • Former ABC News journalist Terry Moran
  • Former FBI official Chris O’Leary
  • Democracy Forward president Skye Perryman
  • Representative Jason Crow (D-Colorado).

The documentary traces how the five barriers that historically checked presidential corruption—from White House ethics lawyers to inspectors general to Congress—have been purged, captured, or sidelined.

Production faced headwinds of its own. While filming in September, the crew was ordered out of the Washington Monument after government staff realized what they were filming, a scene that appears in the finished documentary.

For the first time in recorded history, Americans say “corruption” is their number-one worry ahead of an election. The producers found that, since polling began, that category has never surpassed the economy as a voting issue in an election year. Meanwhile, a Gallup poll found 89 percent of Americans believe government corruption is widespread, the highest figure ever recorded and a view shared across party lines (83 percent of Republicans, 91 percent of Democrats). The United States tops all OECD nations on that measure.

  1. Former Republican Miles Taylor is a member of the Forward Party.

The Forward Party is a merging of two other parties, one formed by a bunch of Republicans. They do not take positions on controversial things, like guns and abortion.

Wut? A party without positions? Children slaughtered in classrooms and women dying from lack of healthcare, and they have no strong opinions on either?

Fuck the Forward Party. They’re a wishy-washy bunch of weirdos who, based on their past, will change their “centrist” platform as needed until they can figure out a coherent message.

I truly cannot find any reason for their “party” to exist. Is it for people without a moral compass? People who don’t read books?

People not scammy enough to be in Third Way?

Or more likely, a source of income for washed up campaign consultants.

I’m going to pass on his documentary, not because it’s not true, it’s just that anyone following the news for the last decade knows Orange Man Rapes Children.
