I’d been wondering about this myself. I recently saw this post at Sonoran Alliance, suggesting Huppenthal was posting there under the pseudonym “Light”:

Apparently, Huppenthal may have been attacking Diane Douglas on the Sonoran Alliance site.
Speaking of proxies, the Sonoran Alliance post was just a few weeks after I received this comment from a proxy server in Germany to a post about Huppenthal trashing Jan Brewer in a comment back in 2009, Did Huppenthal Call Jan Brewer a Liar?:
Seriously, Bob. Get over it.
If Huppenthal didn’t visit your site and comment, you wouldn’t have a fucking thing to write about.
Jews like you prove that Hitler had the right idea, but lacked ambition.
Do I know it was Thucky who wrote the comment? No, he’s learned not to leave tracks. But I do know two things that point to him: (1) consistent with the comment, he’s fascinated with all things Hitler; and (2) nobody else on the planet would care enough about my posting on Thucky’s comments to lash out at me like that.
In the KGUN piece, Justin Schecker asks Huppenthal four separate times if he’s still blogging. Check out the exchanges:
“Have you moved on with your aliases, Thucydides and Falcon9, are those still out there online these days?” 9 On Your Side reporter Justin Schecker asked Huppenthal.
“You know, when I go out and talk to people we talk about performance of the system,” he replied.

“Are you still doing that or have you stopped?” Schecker asked.
“The thing that I do that I work hard I’m passionate about public policy when I go out,” Huppenthal said.
“You’re not answering the question, are you still blogging, that’s my question yes or no?” Schecker said.
“And my answer is when I go out, I talk about what we’re doing at education,” Huppenthal said.
“I understand that, but I think voters would like to know you’ve learned you lessons you’re no longer doing — can you just answer yes or no, have you blogged under those aliases in the last two months?” Schecker asked.
“The — when I go out and talk to the public we talk about the great accomplishments that we’re doing as a department,” Huppenthal said.
As Schecker said, it was a simple yes or no question. It was quite clearly in Huppenthal’s interest to say no, if he could do so honestly. But he didn’t. My guess is that he’s concerned Schecker had info about additional comments, and didn’t want to be caught lying, again.
So there you have it. John Huppenthal channelling Anthony Weiner. Who’d a thunk it?
