Sanford (Sandy) Rosenthal for Pima County Sheriff at DGT

“Sandy Rosenthal is running as a Democratic Candidate for Pima County Sheriff.  A Tucson Native, a United States Army Veteran and a retired member of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. He served 36 years in a variety of roles as a Deputy, Sergeant and Commander for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Sandy says he comes to the candidacy with a vast knowledge and experience in administrative skills, tactical training, and an understanding of the role of the Sheriff.  He is committed to service, teamwork, and keeping Pima County residence safe while planning proactivity for the safety of its citizens in the future.

Sandy says his initiatives are: To support recruiting, hiring and retaining employees; saving lives at the Pima County Detention Center; facilitating new options for school safety, and creating a safer community for all.”

Carolyn’s note: Retired Deputy Sheriff Sandy Rosenthal will be facing incumbent Democrat Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos in the Dem primary on July 30, 2024. Nanos was appointed to Sheriff in 2015, but lost the General Election in Nov. 2016 to Republican Mark Napier, 44.07% to 55.66%. Then Nanos defeated Sheriff Napier in the re-election match in Nov. 2020, 50.34% to 49.66%.
