Happy New Year Everyone.
Although as my mother suggested in a social media post, the new year really does not start in this country until Joe Biden and Kamala Harris get sworn in on January 20, 2021.
Despite that reality, apparently close to 150 Know-Nothing Trump Zone “Republicans” plan to object to the Biden/Harris November 3, 2020 win when Congress considers the Electoral College count on January 6, 2021.
Apparently, there are about 140 House “Republicans” and close to a dozen “Republican” Senators who will consider voting against counting the Electoral College votes.
In a statement released by the Republican Senators, they said that they are objecting to the Biden/Harris win and called for a ten-day audit of what they falsely claim are disputed state voter tallies.
What Kool-Aid are these “people” drinking?
One of these Senators is Ted Cruz, the man whose father was accused by Donald Trump of being a conspirator in the Kennedy Assassination and whose wife was called ugly, also by Trump.
Ted Cruz is many things.
A man is not one of them.
This decision by close to 150 seditious mice following the Pied Pieper of Trumpism is insane.
There is no valid reason to contest Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s November 3, 2020 win.
The Biden/Harris Ticket won the Popular Vote by more than seven million votes.
They won the Electoral College by the same margin as the Trump/Pence ticket in 2016.
Donald Trump and Mike Pence have never won the popular vote.
Despite over 60 court hearings (where the Trumpists have won only once) and numerous baseless charges of election rigging, no wide-scale voter fraud has been found in any state at levels that would affect the Electoral College outcome. Some of these court decisions were given by Trump appointees including the three on the United States Supreme Court.
Trump’s Homeland Security appointee (until Trump fired him) in charge of elections (Chris Krebs) said this was the securest election in history.
Trump’s own Justice Department has relayed it has not seen much evidence of voter fraud.
2000 and 2016 Popular Vote Winners Al Gore and Hillary Clinton, because of questions in Florida (Gore) and Russian interference (Clinton) had better claims to pursue challenging the Electoral College in Congress.
They did not.
There are several reasons these 150 “Republican public servants” are acting this way. Some like Senator Josh Hawley, as Senator Ben Sasse has pointed out, are planning to object because they (chuckle, chuckle) want to be the Republican Presidential Nominee in 2024. Others like Louie Gohmert and Mo Brooks are doing this because they are Know-Nothing Trump Zone-Fox Island-Disinfowar Residents who actually believe all the baseless charges of voter fraud. Others in the former Party of Lincoln are going along with this travesty because they fear being primaried in 2022 by a candidate favored by Donald Trump.
Not one of the reasons explained above justifies this unprecedented reckless attempt to sow doubt in the legitimate election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
These objections will not change the election outcome.
Joe Biden will become President on January 20, 2021.
Kamala Harris will become Vice President on that date as well.
The country needs to heal from the four years of Donald Trump and, if Democrats prevail in both Senate runoff elections in Georgia on January 5, 2021, the obstruction of Republican oligarchs and plutocrats.
These 150 Know-Nothing and seditious (treasonous) members of the “Republican Party” are not putting the country ahead of self-interest.
They are stoking division, spreading ignorance, and potentially further propelling the growth of fringe reactionary and domestic terrorist groups (click here on Gohmert inciting violence) that will tear at the Nation’s fabric.
All to keep power and make nice with the Chief Executive Demagogue-Liar in Chief-Twice KKK endorsed candidate-Twice Popular Vote Loser-Aspiring Duce-Individual One.
Shame on them.
These people need to follow the oaths of offices they swore to uphold.

“I recently took the oath of office for a local school board election. An incredible, chill-inducing experience – an honor of lifetime – to swear allegiance and defense of the United States, and the Constitution. Then I read that four US Senate-elects: Tom Tuberville-AL, Bill Hagerty-TN, Roger Marshall-KS and Cynthia Lummis-WY will be taking their oath this week. Then they will proceed – in the same week – to disavow that oath. As they willfully become what they swore to defend the Constitution against – domestic enemies to that Constitution and the United States. By actively trying to overturn a fair election with no evidence of fraud – none – they are willfully ready, as one of their first acts after taking the oath of office, to shatter our democracy… to swear allegiance and defense to a dictator rather than our Constitution. Obviously, these words in the oath mean nothing to them. “I do solemnly swear… support the Constitution…bear true faith… impartially discharge the duties… So Help Me God.”
People should watch the Congress meet on January 6, 2021, and see how much these 150 Know Nothing seditious traitors lie to the American People.
Remember who votes against the Electoral College count on January 6, 2021, and fight to vote them out of office across the country in 2022.
That is a dozen Senate seats and a 140 House seats that should be vacated and these traitors disqualified from ever holding office again by imposing the 14th Amendment, Section 3. Are we a constitutional government or not?
These clowns need to be indicted for treason. They have thrown away their oath to uphold the Constitution. During the Trump era I have always uses the “shoe on the other foot,” analysis. Can you imagine rhe right wing foaming at the mouth if Democrats objected to their autocrat’s electoral vote in 2016?
