Pima County will get a new Supervisor for District 5 to replace resigning Supervisor Adelita Grijalva, who is running for Congress in Congressional District 7, where her late father served.
The Board of Supervisors will make the appointment of their new colleague from the list of applicants. The 6 applicants appeared at a forum by the League of Women Voters to introduce themselves and answer questions.
The public input on the appointment will no doubt be influential on the Supervisors’ choice, so I encourage readers to contact their own Supervisors about their preferences.
