Beyond Event
Saturday, January 11, various times: Beyond Event, Tucson. The Beyond Event was created in response to the Tucson Mass Shooting on January 8, 2011 when 19 people were shot, 6 died, and the survivors included former CD 8 Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, later CD 8/CD2 Congressman Ron Barber, a Congressional staff member and other community people. Healthy living choices and activities were the goal of this Beyond effort, to be “beyond” the pain & horror of that shooting.
