When the history of this time period is written, it will record that President Joe Biden and the Biden/Harris Administration were a force for good that rescued the country from MAGA-Trumpism and steered the Ship of State toward a prosperous course that moved the country forward and lifting the vast majority of Americans up.
With a record that compares favorably with the domestic achievements of Presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson, he will be fondly remembered for:
- Beating Donald Trump in 2020.
- Rescuing the country from the clutches of the pandemic.
- Launching the American Rescue Plan which helped propel the National Economy to Global Leader status.
- Doing what Donald Trump never could with the signing of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
- Bringing back American Manufacturing with the CHIPS Science Act.
- Helping seniors with the Prescription Drug Benefit.
- Signing the largest investments in combatting climate change and clean energy.
- Appointing the first Black Woman to the United States Supreme Court and a record number of women and minorities to the federal courts.
- Taking care of veterans health care through the PATCH Act.
- Relieving billions of student loan debt.
- The first gun safety legislation in a decade.
- Defended Democracy in the United States and around the world.
- Helped expand N.A.T.O.
- Helped to secure the Southern Border despite Republican opposition.
Historians have already noticed his Administration’s accomplishments ranking him 14th out of the 46 United States Presidents.
Guess who was last.
Mr. Trump was so bad as President that James Buchanan, the President who allowed the first Southern States to break away from the Union in 1861, is ranked higher than him.
Historians will also favorably note President Biden’s selfless act of withdrawing from the 2024 Presidential race, making him the modern Cincinnatus, a Roman statesman who chose country over himself by retiring from public service.
Those same historians will not render the same verdict on Mr. ‘I Killed Roe v Wade’ Trump, a self absorbed convicted felon and failed President who lost the popular vote twice, was impeached twice, been found liable of for sexual assault and business fraud, who put the country through Hell with his continued election denialism and divisiveness that resulted in the Domestic Insurrectionist attack on the Nation’s Capitol on January 6, 2021.
This country owes a debt of gratitude to President Joe Biden, a great Chief Executive who frankly deserved better from some of his allies in the halls of Congress.
American Democracy is alive today because of President Joe Biden.
With the pages of history turning, it is time to rally around Vice President Kamala Harris in her campaign to continue the Biden/Harris Program and beat back the chauvinist and repressive Trump/Vance ticket.
But for the theme of this article.
