Where is Mitch McConnell?
What is his physical condition?
Why has he not been seen in public in three weeks?
Since June 14, the former Republican Senate Leader and man most responsible for the current configuration of the Supreme Court, that judicial body’s rulings on Reproductive Freedom and Campaign Finance Reform, and the return of Donald Trump, has been hospitalized after reportedly receiving CPR care at his Washington DC home.
No one from the public, including the media, has seen or spoken to him.
Now, current Senate Republican Leader John Thune and his number two, John Barrasso, have claimed to have had twenty minute conversations with McConnell and discussed policy issues.
One of his former aides, MAGA Republican spokesperson and hypocrite on CNN Scott Jennings, claims he did as well. Apparently, CNN host Kassie Hunt was not buying it, asking Jennings if he could phone McConnell in to them in real time right then.
Jennings did not take her up on her suggestion.
Guess 20 is the lucky number among these people.
Kentucky Governor and 2028 Presidential Aspirant Andy Beshear penned a letter to McConnell, demanding to know what the hell is going on, writing:
“Dear Senator McConnell:
Over the last several weeks, Kentuckians have grown increasingly concerned about the current state of your health and wellbeing, and ability to hold office in the United States Senate.
As Governor, I request that you fully update Kentuckians regarding the current status of your health.
As public officeholders, we have made a commitment to our constituents to do our best to represent them and to always be transparent. I believe this requires clear communication about one’s ability to serve.
We wish you a safe and speedy recovery.”
As Kentucky’s Governor, whose power to select a successor for Mr. McConnell will likely face a court challenge due to legislation passed by the Republican State Legislature taking that power away from him in favor of calling a special election, Beshear would do the nation and his Presidential aspirations well if he went to the hospital the former Republican Senate Leader is residing in, along with the media, and see for himself if the 84 year old is fine or otherwise.
If he is fine, good.
If people like Thune, Barrasso, and Jennings have been lying and McConnell has been hooked up to a respirator in a coma all this time, there should be hell to pay.
Surprisingly, not one Washington DC Journalist can get an in-depth response from the hospital medical staff on McConnell’s condition.
That is strange all by itself.
Stay tuned.

As a Kentuckian, currently without full representation from both elected senators, I fully endorse our governor making a hospital visit.
