Governor Hobbs Releases New Re-Election Campaign Ad Called “Lived It” and Celebrates Middle Class Tax Cuts

From KTAR

Reminding Arizona voters of her working and middle-class roots, Katie Hobbs’ re-election campaign has released a new ad called “Lived It.”

Below is a transcript of the ad. It is very similar to the first campaign ad her team broadcast late last month.

VO: Growing up in a home with more love than money, working your way through school flipping burgers, driving Uber as a second job to afford Christmas presents.

VO: What families are going through today, Katie Hobbs doesn’t just get it; she’s lived it.

VO: And as governor, she’s doing something about it, expanding school lunches and community college scholarships, reducing electricity bills, and cutting red tape to build more affordable housing.

VO: Katie Hobbs will keep working to make Arizona work better for you.

Commenting on the ad, Hobbs Campaign Communications Director Michael Beyer wrote:

“From driving for Uber to working in fast food, Katie Hobbs knows the challenges working families face because she has experienced them herself. That’s why Katie has remained committed to lowering costs for Arizonans, expanding access to school meals and scholarships, slashing utility bills, and making housing more affordable. No matter what chaotic, cost-hiking policies come out of Washington, Katie will always fight to make it easier for Arizonans to get ahead.”

The ad comes out on a day Governor Hobbs celebrated her middle-class tax cuts that were contained in the FY27 bipartisan budget agreement.

In her opening comments, the Governor said:

“I’m proud to say that we have delivered. I’m thrilled that we secured some big wins that will be a huge boost for families. The tax cut package we delivered increases the standard deduction.

It includes a $6,000 deduction for seniors. It includes no taxes on tips and overtime. And I’m particularly excited about the child care tax credits.

Next year, families will be able to claim a tax deduction for any child and dependent care expenses that are not covered by the federal tax credit. With this package, I am proud to say that I have lowered taxes every single year of my administration. As the politicians in Washington, D.C. raise the cost of living with tariffs, or on Iran that’s hiking the cost of gas and groceries, and attacks on affordable health care, in Arizona, we are taking a different approach.

We’re putting more money back in your pocket and ensuring you have what it takes to make ends meet at the end of the month. As someone who knows firsthand how much every penny counts when times are tough, I will always fight to put working Arizonans first. Thank you to the legislators in this room who helped make this possible, and to Kuldeep, Michelle, and everyone else who fought for middle-class Arizonans who deserve to keep more of what they earn to put food on the table, gas in their tank, and build a better life for themselves and their families.”
