Harris/Walz Campaign Descends on Arizona and Launches Media Blitz as Early Voting Starts in the Grand Canyon State

On the eve of early voting in the Grand Canyon State, the Harris/Walz Campaign has launched a series of events designed to bolster early turnout from supporters across Arizona.

Actresses Kerry Washington, Jessica Alba, Glenn Close, Michael Ealy, Representative Jasmine Crockett, former U.N. Ambassador and Biden/Harris Domestic Advisor Susan Rice, former Attorney General Eric Holder will headline events in the Phoenix area today.

Crockett headlined events in the Tucson area yesterday.

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff will be in Arizona on Tuesday.

Governor Walz will be in the Grand Canyon State on Wednesday and Vice President Harris will cap off the week with an appearance on Friday.

Both the Vice President and Governor will also be launching a media blitz on national and local stations and social media including 60 Minutes, Fox News Sunday, Howard Stern, and Jimmy Kimmel.

Harris/Walz events to bolster early voting turnout started last week with the endorsement of the Arizona Teamsters Union and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar joining local small business supporters for the Harris/Walz team and their New Way Forward/Opportunity Economy Agenda in the Phoenix area.

At the event, Senator Klobuchar commented:

“Americans see exactly the kind of vision that the Harris-Walz ticket is offering: a New Way Forward that protects our fundamental freedoms, strengthens our democracy, and ensures every person has the opportunity to get ahead. I know it seems like we say it every few years, but this really, truly is the most consequential election of our lifetimes. We must elect Democrats up and down the ballot, and turn the page on Donald Trump and the MAGA extremist agenda.”

Yesterday, actress Jennifer Garner highlighted a couple of events in Maricopa County along with former Trump Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, former U.N. Ambassador and Biden/Harris Domestic Advisor Susan Rice, State Senator Eva Burch, and former Congressional Candidate Dr. Hiral Tipirneni.

The themes of the events were the Harris/Walz commitments to strengthening Democracy and protecting women’s reproductive freedom.

Among the comments shared by a Harris/Walz for Arizona Press Release were:

Ms. Garner stated:

“We have someone with a clear vision and clear eyes for how to lift people up, how to strengthen our middle class, how to give people the dignity of homeownership and help them get their feet under them, and how to stand up to bullies. Our country deserves to be united. There is a New Way Forward. There is a joyful way forward. There is a way that celebrates democracy, and that is Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.”

Ms. Grisham asserted:

“The contrast in this election could not be more clear. Donald Trump has said there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses — and even called for the ‘termination’ of the Constitution. Vice President Harris, on the other hand, is offering a New Way Forward for all Americans and to turn the page on Donald Trump’s darkness and division, and that’s why Democrats, Republicans and independents are coming together to support her in Arizona.”

Ambassador Rice conveyed:

“Donald Trump has said he’ll be a dictator, and that he will come after anybody who disagrees with him and use the powers of the Justice Department to chase people down and lock them up. All that we hold dear – fundamental principles of who we are as Americans – are at risk. The most important thing that we can do is to rally as many people as possible to vote – to vote for unity, vote for hope, vote for our democracy.”

Senator Burch contended:

“Donald Trump wants to make this nightmare a reality for women in all 50 states, and his Project 2025 agenda will ban abortion nationwide. Vice President Harris trusts women and believes the government shouldn’t come between a woman and her doctor.”

Dr. Tipirneni relayed:

“Because of Donald Trump and his cruel abortion bans, women’s lives are being put at risk and doctors like me are being threatened with prosecution and jail time for simply doing our jobs. These extreme bans have interfered with the doctor-patient relationship: by forcing doctors to make the impossible choice between caring for patients and risking prosecution and jail time, or breaking the oath which we swore to uphold.”
