Willard ‘Mittens’ Romney is a godless socialist Canadian

(Satire Alert)

Remember when Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett said that he was not singling out President Obama to verify his birth certificate, and specifically said he would do the same thing “if somebody asked me to verify the Libertarian candidate or Mitt Romney or whoever it might end up being”?

Apparently we need to look for hidden Easter eggs in whatever Bennett says.

Bennett acknowledged Thursday he has received requests from Arizona residents to perform the same kind of verification through Michigan about Romney’s birth certificate as he did through Hawaii for Barack Obama. But Bennett says he will not verify the birth records of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, at least not now — and possibly not ever — despite his earlier public commitment to do so. AZ sec. of state not ready to check Romney’s birth status – East Valley Tribune:

Bennett is now saying he needs something else: An allegation by an Arizona law enforcement agency that there is a question about the veracity of a candidate’s claimed birth certificate.

He said that was always a precondition of looking into Romney or anyone else. He just never disclosed that.

I am sure that Bennett's position as Willard "Mittens" Romney's campaign co-chair in Arizona has nothing to do with this. I'll take him at his word.

Mckenzie-promo_thumbBlog for Arizona has its own Cold Case Posse, and we have sent our agents Bob and Doug McKenzie (pictured here undercover) to the Great White North to investigate repeated rumors we have heard that Willard "Mittens" Romney was not born in Detroit, MIchigan like the short-form birth certificate he released earlier this week says, but rather he was born on the other side of the Detroit River in Windsor, Ontario. That's right folks, we have reason to believe that Willard "Mittens" Romney is a godless socialist Canadian!

Jesse Kelly Is Not a Hypocrite On Stimulus, He’s Just Plain Wrong

May 31, 2012

By Michael Bryan The Arizona Republic recently ran an excellent investigative peice highlighting the disconnect between Jesse Kelly's criticism of Obama's stimulus package and the more than $60 million in projects his family business worked on. The Arizona Republic has found that since 2010, additional stimulus and government-funded projects, totaling at least $60.8 million, have gone to … Read more

Tales from the telephone bank

May 31, 2012

by David Safier Tonight at the Northwest Democratic office (Oracle and Magee), I was phoning a mixed group of Ds, Rs and Os (O=No party). My third call was to a 73 year old Republican woman. I gave my short "I'm a volunteer for the Arizona Democratic Party" spiel and asked if she had voted … Read more

Time for a new sheriff in town – Paul Penzone

May 31, 2012

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

I see that "the most corrupt sheriff in America," Crazy Uncle Joe Arpaio, has filed to run for Sheriff of Maricopa County again. Apparently his Cold Case Posse still has work to do, finding the Kenyan birth place of Barack Obama, the secret location of Elvis Presley – he's still alive! — and just what were those Mysterious Lights Over Phoenix Suspected of Being UFOs? Important police work like child sex abuse cases, not so much.

Seriously, residents of the state of Maricopa. Hasn't this buffoon cost you enough of your hard-earned taxpayer dollars in the multiple settlements paid out for his abuse of his office and for political witch hunts against his political "enemies" list? And there are the attorneys fees and costs being incurred in the several ongoing lawsuits against the MCSO for abuse of prisoners and racial profiling. When law enforcement crosses over the line into becoming the object of law enforcement investigations, it's time to end the corruption.

Fortunately, you have a good candidate for sheriff whom you should support and to whom you should give your vote, Paul Penzone.

The time has come to retire Crazy Uncle Joe Arpaio and elect Paul Penzone as the "new sheriff in town." Check out Paul Penzone for Maricopa County Sheriff 2012. Introduction video below the fold.

Walmart is the 18th corporation to cut ties with ALEC

May 31, 2012

by David Safier ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) looked bulletproof a few months ago. Few people had heard of it, and there were no consequences for being part of the conservative legislation-creation machine. The ‘dirty effin’ hippies’ now get to decide your fate, Frank

May 31, 2012

I see that Sen. "Don't make me angry" Frank Antenori wussed out after being beaten a second time for Congress by someone I am sure that he considers a lesser individual than he, because no one is a greater gift to humanity than Frank Antenori. "Effin' voters! What the hell do you know! Can't you appreciate my magnificence?"

So Frank has tucked his tail and gone crawling back to run for his Arizona Senate seat. The only problem is, Frank ain't running in District 30 anymore, where he had the safety of rural eastern Pima County and Cochise County. Now Frank has to run in the new District 10, which is dominated by the City of Tucson in a mostly urban district.

1960s-hippiesFrank has spent his career denigrating the City of Tucson and its residents. Frank did not want to be identified with (R-Tucson) after his name when he was first elected. "I am barely in the City of Tucson." And Frank has routinely denigrated the residents of Tucson by referring to them as "dirty effin' hippies," as if he was Richard Nixon. It's payback time, Frank. The "dirty effin' hippies" now get to decide your fate.

Frank has also spent his career trying to subjugate the liberal blue island of the City of Tucson (and Pima County) under the oppressive jackboot of our colonial overlords from the state of Maricopa.

Wisconsin update: Second and final Total Recall/Walkergate debate tonight

May 31, 2012

Posted by AzBlueMeanie:

Gov. Scott Walker and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett will face off tonight in the second — and final — Total Recall/Walkergate debate in the Wisconsin gubernatorial recall election campaign.

Barrett wanted more debates. Walker did not.

The Capitol Times editorializes today, Editorial: Seven debate questions for Scott Walker:

Total.RecallIn fact, in the first debate last week, Walker was barely present — declining to ask a question of Barrett, failing to respond to challenges from his opponent or questions from journalists on the panel.

Why is Walker so disinclined to debate? Apparently, the Republican governor, who has raised $31 million, compared to Barrett's $3.9 million, prefers to let his attack ads do the talking.

But Walker will face one more round of questions tonight. And it will be harder to avoid them, as one of the state's ablest broadcast journalists, Mike Gousha, will be asking them.

In case Gousha runs out of questions, here are a few he could toss Walker's way:

1. In October 2010, you told the Oshkosh Northwestern newspaper's editorial board that you would work with public employee unions and respect the bargaining process. Now you have said that you and your aides began developing legislation to strip away collective bargaining rights immediately after your election. Did you lie to the Northwestern's editorial board?

2. In February 2011, you told the people of Wisconsin in a televised address that you were forced by a fiscal crisis to introduce a budget-repair bill that created dozens of new political positions for your cronies, proposed the sell-off of state assets and attacked the rights of public employees and teachers. Now, we learn that the drafting of elements of the legislation began months before the "crisis" developed. Did you lie to the people of Wisconsin?
